Could be hard to do. Toronto needs to work on their defense anyway. No idea how they could make this work. Maybe Tampa moves Jonhson, but not sure this is enough.

They just need to move Callahan

Also, can't believe no one is talking about Alzner changing his number so the Habs can make money off new jerseys,

If Petry would change his number, Pete would have to buy a new one for sure

Your argument comes from a year old article of Larry Brooks.

Tavares at what 10-11M per year
Matthews at 10-11m per year
Marner (Thinks he is equally important to Matthews) 8-10m
Nylander 6-8m

Man that is a lot of money tied up. Already with Marleau being overpaid and a hurting defense

Obviously if they signed Tavares they would trade Kadri for a dman I would think.

But 34M+ tied into 4 players is crazy

Updated view of the San Jose #Sharks team page this morning.

$4,000,000 in additional cap space
minus $6,000,000 in actual salary
4 draft picks added (2018 4th & 5th, 2019 2nd, 2020 5th)
2 draft picks traded (2018 7th, 2020 6th)

Sens got bent, Sharks come out like champs, Florida gets cancer.

Yes my argument that Tavares doesn't wanna go to Toronto stems right from the Brooks' article where he lists Toronto as the 1st possible destination...
