Zadina: 57 GP, 44 goals, 82 pts
Kotkaniemi: 57 GP, 10 goals, 29 pts

I know they played in different leagues but come on!

Same could be said for Galchenyuk vs Domi.

But they played in the same league....

9 goals. 4 were empty net, which he won't get in Montreal. So 5 goals. Now he is on a team that can't score goals.

And you traded away your best PP player, too.

Gonna be (frank)ing awesome all round as the Habs pass the puck to each other all game long, never taking any shots.

https://www.hockeyfeed.co...gn-extension-with-3-teams

I realize this article is almost 2 years old but Larry Brooks apparently said Tavares would agree to an extension with only 3 teams if the Islanders were to trade him... I wonder where Brooks came up with these teams!

Actually I think it's misdated and it came out last October as they mention Tavares going into his final year and the Islanders might have to deal him at the deadline

Don't worry, another stupid trade or bad draft pick is just around the corner.

Passing on the consensus #3 would be horrible. Guy with 44 goals in a season needs to be taken on a team that cant score (frank)ing goals

Kotkaniemi is 5 on Mackenzie's list. He's a future 1c apparently.

I dunno, have not had a real big center in ages... Bobby Smith? that was a winner.

The Habs will not get better unless they take educated chances. Safe pick might be the better player, best pick for the team might not be, especially if the separation is not that great.

Also, he's not consensus 3rd anymore. 5 scouts out of the 10 had him outside the top 5.
