you can't give up the offense that galchenyuk brings to a team starved for offense and then draft a centre who won't play for at least 2-3 years or a dman who won't play for at least 2-3 years. it makes no sense. you have to draft zadina now. in my opinion, trading galchenyuk leaves bergevin no choice. however, if begevin does opt to draft a centre or dman, then he may as well get rid of price and weber because they'll be close to retirement when the canadiens are competitive again. - rob121
You can in you are (not so subtly) secretly trying to tank it. |

only way to improve this is to sign JT or trade for someone like O'Reilly |

Yeah, that is something that would not surprise me at all.
Only 3 more weeks for this cluster(frank) to fully take shape, then we can put it behind us for about 2 months until we have 8 months of hell to enjoy.

Eklund saying Habs are taking calls on Weber... Interesting that Weber doesn't have a clause... |

Would be nice if Colorado gets E Karlsson, and then EDM replies w/ getting Weber... I don't see any other team really wanting Weber than perhaps a desperate Oilers.
Imagine the poop crazy trade between the 2 worst GMs... might be the most spectacular thing ever. |

https://www.tsn.ca/kotkan...n-draft-ranking-1.1115400
The No. 5 spot on TSN’s final rankings goes to Finnish centre Jesperi Kotkaniemi, who was No. 19 on the mid-season rankings and No. 10 on the draft lottery edition rankings. His strong performance at the World Under-18 Championships in April has vaulted him into the top five and provided this draft with something that it seemed to be missing all season long — a potential No. 1 centre.
Scouts tend to be positionally biased. Centres and defencemen, generally speaking, tend to be more highly valued than wingers. So perhaps it was inevitable that trio of top wingers would be challenged for their top-five status.
