You should keep depth player like Byron, 20 goals scorer on such a cheap contract...not to mention he can move up and down the lineup and still be decent. - Habsody
His values will never be higher and if he puts up another 20 this year he'll hit the market looking for 5 million |

I think you are right, they should trade him if they can land something good. But we are talking about Bergevin in here... |

Mathews for Tavares' rights? - obie
Sure. I couldn't care less about both players.
But JT's got NO VALUE.
He's basically David Desharnais of 2018 |

Wait...
What?! - WaterBoy
you can't give up the offense that galchenyuk brings to a team starved for offense and then draft a centre who won't play for at least 2-3 years or a dman who won't play for at least 2-3 years. it makes no sense. you have to draft zadina now. in my opinion, trading galchenyuk leaves bergevin no choice. however, if begevin does opt to draft a centre or dman, then he may as well get rid of price and weber because they'll be close to retirement when the canadiens are competitive again. |

UFA in 12 days.......very little value at this point....unless you structure it with a pick to talk to him and a conditional first in 2019 if he signs. |

they have a little value, you get to sign him for 8 years instead of 7 if you own his rights but I agree it not a whole lot of value since it's for 12 days before he is UFA and 5 days before he can talk to all teams. |

A 2nd round pick at this point would be a reach. I know we are talking about Tavares but it's for 5 days.
He is signing with the Isles or he is walking for nothing. Most likely. |

Engels tweeted that Habs are leaning towards Kotkaniemi. - Good On Paper
I've been saying for weeks that is who they are gonna draft. And if MB does not see Domi as a center, that kinda seals the deal on the Habs thinking IMO... |

so let's say they draft Kotkagoalie, he won't play in the top 6 right from the get go IMO so who are the top 2 centers now?
Danault and Drewin? |
