Domi scored 18 goals, 9 goals and then 9 goals in first three seasons respectively.

Galchenyuk scored 9, 13 then 20 in his first three seasons.

Galchenyuk trended up while Domi trended down.

Nothing comparable.

Talking just point totals. They arent far off. Not talking about just goal scoring. I just dont think this trade is as far off as people are thinking.

Sure seems like Montreal is going to be drafting Kotkaniemi now.
- Hunkulese

No. Drouin and Domi will be top 2 centers, Zedina and Patches will be split between them.

Either that, or we will do something stupid like sign Stastny to 7 X 7.5+M.

Anybody can go on hockey dB, do you actually watch hockey? Sure galchenyuk has more talent but I’m looking forward to seeing Domi go in the corners, crash the net and actually backcheck. Domi had a bad year but he’s still talented and he wears his heart on his sleeve. I think he will thrive in a hockey market.

As a hab fan I don’t like the trade. But before giving it to MB too hard, what has Chayka really proved so far? Could it be a possibility that nobody wanted cocaine chucky and the habs got a gift with Domi?

Drouin showed promise as a center in the last 15 games of the season last year and this is the first move of many this offseason. Let’s give Bergevin a chance before we crucify him

Gotta love VGK fans coming in here and strutting like they invented hockey.

Drouin should not be playing center. Period.

Domi was moved from center, because he was not good at it. He should not be playing center. Period.

Habs have a top 9 of 9 wingers.

Domi is not a bad player

But seeing as he is the only return you would hope for a little more goal scoring prowess.

You’re ready to write off Drouin as a center after 1 year where most of the players had a down year? Thank god you’re not the GM. He showed some nice improvement at the end of the year.
Who said Domi is playing center? Habs traded a LW for a LW and my best guess is they will get their center in a Pacioretty trade or they will draft Kotkaniemi.

The draft and free agency haven’t happened yet , we re not even in summer yet so chill out

Drouiin is not a #1 center, and I'd say he is ideally best suited as a 2nd line winger.

Webers production in a injury shortened year was extremely high.

Now I want to see the Coyotes get Yakupov. The inside fanboy in me has always wondered how both would do if reunited in the NHL.

He’s still 22 or 23 why are you already writing him off? He’s still got tons of room to grow impossible to say what his ceiling is at this point
