The issue is not Domi, per se.

The issue is trading more valued assets for a guy who was moved to the wing because he could not play center and coming to Montreal to play center. This has Drouin trainwreck written all over it, from a team perspective, because it does not fix the center ice issue at all.

Galchenyuk scored 9, 13 then 20 in his first three seasons.

Galchenyuk trended up while Domi trended down.

Nothing comparable.
