Lol....one of the youngest teams in the league. Texas was the team loaded with vets and our kids beat them. Get your facts straight.

Facts don't matter to whoever is behind that account, he just comes in here and attempts to stir poop up. Ignore.

Watch the replay again. The one ref to Sparks' left signaled goal on the ice when Texas poked at it short side. The broadcasters never mentioned this. There was no evidence to prove that pick never crossed the line before Sparks used his bare hand (wow!) to pull it out, so assume this is why they called it a goal. I don't think it was in, but I do wish the replays had focused on that first part of the scrum.
- bullethead7

The call on the ice was no goal, the review overturned the original call

The bold didn’t do much, and the underlined are still fairly young.

So that leaves Smith, Greening, Mueller, and LoVerde. Wow....

It's just easier to ignore the contributions of the players that stand a good chance of making the team next year.. the younger ones. Oh, and Kapanen too. He didn't play in the playoffs, but if someone is going to bring up Rychels contributions, why not?

God I hate Bergevin.

So

(frank)ing

much

That is all.

- Scabeh

You guys got (frank)ed on that one. Domi isn't a poop player but Galchencyuk is clearly better and more valuable while Domi's value couldn't have been worse.

Rosen, Borgman etc.

The difference is in the salary cap (or lack there of) in AHL.

Only looking at signing bonuses, it becomes clear that it's easy for Toronto Marlies management to ice a competitive team - other teams just can't afford to put similar amounts of funds into their AHL team as a development team for NHL.
In addition, Marlies have way more staff/trainers, 2 busses so players can sleep istead of sit and other stuff other teams just cannot afford.

It's clear that Galchenyuk is a better player (in potential 1st liner) than Domi (2nd liner ceiling).

From a team perspective (look at LV success) it's a good move by Montreal.
Galchenyuk clearly has personal issues.
To build a cohesive team, with objective to win something with Price, Weber etc. - you can't have young players that form a distraction to the team.

So MTL with Domi might be a better team than MTL with Galchenyuk - it's not just about player potential, but on how a player contributes to team success.

Habs get rid of Pacioretty as well I think - another bad apple.

Nice list half that list hardly played and the other half was filler, depth. Their top players were all guys under 24.

Now do Texas and see how it plays out.

Why not look at where those vets played and what impact they had instead of just listing players (who didn't play) and claiming that those players were impactful

AHL rules dictate you must have a certain number of 'vets' playing per game

Of the 20 guys who dressed for a game in the playoffs, 15 of them were u25.

Top 2 scorers were 22yrs old

But they were lead by a bunch of vets.

Listing a bunch of vets who didn't play makes it

Mtl seems to like to make big trades right after the playoffs.

It worked so well for them last year.....

What a total poop show in Montréal caused by an insane GM and horrible trades... how long before Price wants out??

Awful!

Good news is it seems that Montréal and Ottawa will be awful for the next decade and easy pickin's for the Buds!

If Hayton falls to 20 like in Jan's mock draft he's doing on this site, should the leafs trade up to get him? Dubas might want to, with the Soo Greyhound connection. He would solidify the 2/3C spot for many years.

Too bad Tie couldn't block the trade like when Domi was drafted before London could take him and he said he won't go to the ohl unless he plays for London. It'll suck to see Domi's son wearing a hab jersey.
