Would people here be in to Lucic and 10th for nothing? He might an alright player to play with Petterson. Yes he sucks but he would bring some toughness and skill.

Id do that then Tanev for 12th overall if possible.

Pick up Spezza and a 2nd f
Then deal Sven and Sutter for highest picks possible.

- mauryballstein

I heard Dreger on TSN 1260 in Edmonton that Lucic is in play but would have to throw in a "sweetener". Oiler fans all day and the hosts were suggesting Lucic and Puliarvii for Hanifan. No where near enough in my opinion, as it would take a minimum of their 10 oa just to take Lucic.
And they say Vancouver smokes to much weed.

Amazing how some speculative talk by Friedman turns into rumours. The usual people are 100% sold on things not even reported as "I'm hearing" but rather "I wouldnt be surprised" but still it takes on the life of rumour and people start talking about how confident they are about the pick being shopped hard because where there is smoke there is fire. Funny thing, there was no smoke. Just talk about hypothetical smoke... not even a hypothetical fire lol.... air time just gets wasted on bullpoop.

Anyone else watching Calder game 7?

I really dislike how much better of job the leaves are doing developing their players properly. Liljgren and Kapanen both look real good.

Ya not sure what he is talking about. Hughes is def. in their top 4
- CanuckDon

They have Ty Smith at 8, one of the few players I have not followed at all.
He sounds like a decent player, although, they rely on ànalytics too much.

They're drunk and don't know what they're talking about.
Hughes will go before Boucher... or strange things will be happening.

Bob said he had heard from sources that Vancouver is making a pitch for Hanafin and Risto. Friedman mused on it, several journalists have heard from sources that they are talking. Seems like smoke to me, not surprised Canucks brass are denying it in the media.

They have a 10 year head start. Don't forget EP played in Sweden OJ in Finland Lockwood in NCAA Dahlen in Sweden Palmu in Finland.

Everyone should panic if the GM is doing GM bs, like inquiring as to the prices of certain players.

Do you mean Johnsson? Kapanen hasn't played in the Calder Cup.

I mean yeah, they should 100% be looking at both players as we need D bad. if 7 and tree lands you risto, I think it's a smart trade. I'm sure they called about ROR too, as much as he's a guy i think he's too old for this team's current direction.

I guess I do?! I thought I heard his name, and noticed a winger looking dangerous and so just assumed I guess. I did just pop it on and have not watched the other games.

Best possible for sure number 3 D in this years draft Hughes.

4 D 5'10" and under have played 16 playoff games or more in the past 5 years. 103 D in the past 5 years have played more then 16 playoff games. Does include a lot of repeats.

Don't care what anyone says if you are 5'10" and under, you will need to be sheltered defensively. No matter how many points you put up. I also wouldn't be picking at best a 2nd pairing defensemen high in the 1st round unless i'm Nashville, Columbus, Winnipeg.

Ellis, Spurgeon, Enstrom and Dumba? I'm guessing, but those are some pretty quality top4 guys.

That's why Hughes is a no for me. Boucher could be a top pair as could boqvist, boqvist just had a bigger chance of busting... but could be elite, he's almost 6foot and he's 17 still..

Yeah, I don't think picking up a potential Krug/Ellis/Barrie caliber of player at #7 in this kind of draft is bad at all.

I'm sorry, but I just don't see #1 workhorse dman upside in Bouchard and Boqvist at all either.

You're take on defensemen is the opposite of just about every single person in here.

Matt Dumba 6'

Enstrom was A HEALTHY SCRATCH. Ellis plays as a number 3. Spurgeon gets to play as a 2 because of Suter. Really he's not as good as the 6' tall Dumba.

Krug is a 3 in Boston. Skilled or not. He needs to be sheltered.
