Kids do good in the preseason all the time. Good teams make it harder, it's the bottom line.

Not much competition on this team of scrubs to make it harder.

What did he say again? WD was a poopty coach and the city smells like pot? Can't really disagree with that statement can we?
- belcherbd

I don't care what he said about the Coach that is no longer here but part of your parting comments you should not say the city is full of drug addicts and smelled like pot.

I think all three of them earned a spot. They were the best players in preseason. They should have been sent back to junior though after performance started to decline. I am not sure why the team refused to admit they weren't ready

I think EP has shown in the SHL that he is deserves to start in a top 6 role. If he falters give him less ice time. But the kid dominated a men's league, his skill is undeniable. Give him a proper center to play with and give him the chance of a lifetime. Tree earned nothing in the KHL before coming here and was treated as such, this hurt his feelings and he cried home to momma. If he wants back I will accept him, he is a top 4 guy, but I am also all for trading his rights in a good deal.
JV has earned more play time with better linemates, I think he should be a LW on EP's line. Trade Hutton, green doesn't like him and we will only kill his career, trade him while he has value.

Ya but just give the spot to the guy who isn't going to be negatively effected by being put in too early.

im fine with rewarding youth for winning a spot in camp, but if they struggle after that, the team should be smart enough to send them back to the chl/ahl

Tryamkin refused to play in Utica. He forced their hand. Sign him and gift him a spot or lose his rights. Two choices

I am not upset with his comments. I am just saying it is not the smartest thing to say as parting comments.

I seen a young kid homesick and didn't have anyone to communicate with.

If Hughes is there at 7, yes please. Dobson, no thanks. Other than that I think we’re probably on the same page - looking forward to your post

Sure, if his attitude has improved. I am not privy to his conversations with management. Personally, I think he is overated by our fanbase simply because he is huge and is a decent skater. He was pretty terrible at the worlds as well.

In my mind, good teams leave guys down until they show they can do that consistently. Not wait until the wheels fall off. They don't seem to be learning from their mistakes and people on here don't seem to see the trend of what happens when you throw guys in too early. It's worked once, failed four times. It's my biggest issue with current management.

What about boqvist?

- Pres.cup

I like Boqvist, but value wise I’d rather take Merkley a bit later (I’m way higher on him than most). My pie-in-the-sky dream scenario is Philly wanting someone at 7. Trade 7 & 37 for 14, 19 & 112

So based on what was said on #Bobcast, sounds like it's Zadina, Dobson, Kotkaniemi and Tkachuk from #3 to #6 in some order, and after that it's probably Bouchard, Hughes, Wahlstrom and Boqvist rounding out the top 10. Kravtsov and Hayton could be after that.

feels like 1-3 should be set . 4-10 should come from 7 players...but it could be in almost any order.

I think Montreal goes Kotk, only reason why he is even being though of as a top 6 pick is Montreal.
