I don’t hate him, I’ve never met the kid. I’m sure he is a great kid!

You know what I mean, as a player.

Defence is the only one I would disagree. Hayton was primarily the shutdown center for SSM this season. I would rank him ahead of Kotkaniemi.
- manvanfan

Ya I have a hard time be leaving he's as good as either if his skating is the big question mark, either way it will not matter cause at the NHL level if you can't skate well, you're pooched.

I do like the idea of Jay Beagle for the fourth line

I do hope we pick up a decent Dman via trade or UFA

- VANTEL

Don't really know much about Beagle but I'm with you on defence.

There's only a couple better skaters in the draft, his shot is underrated. Has that ability to get t through traffic and rip it as needed. Was very impressed with him in the mem cup. His draft stock going up makes a lot more sense to me than Kotkaniemi, who completely disappeared in the post-season.

He can play Sutter's role very effectively. I love this move if it means maxing Sutter's trade value, as he's been asked about the most apparently.

Don's hate for Boqvist is ridiculous, an extremely talented kid.
- Pacificgem

I get being wary of concussions. But that's what med staff is there to evaluate, if he's checked out you pick him if the pro's are wary you don't.

I don’t hate him as a player. He has a nice skill set I just dont think he plays in the NHL. Hence why I’m concerned that they may select him.

Bergeron in a bag . Depends what the extra is but looks like MB is in fine form already

He loves his grit, but he gives up more skill in almost every damn trade.

I like Domi, but Galchenyuk's talent level is really good and he's not a low IQ player either. Guy just needed to get away from that franchise.

I would hazard a guess that 60% of kids coming up to pro hockey have had some form of concussion or head trauma, mild to extreme. It's a contact sport, a good number of them go undetected.

I think he's perfectly fine and he's a helluva talent.

Two incredibly inconsistent players being traded for one another.

MB is just ruining that team, Jesus he's an idiot. Unless he's clearing cap space for Tavares?

Domi has had one bad year. Not inconsistent yet. Galcheyuk though for sure. Still good deal for both IMO.

Domi has been a center his whole career though. I agree, chuky is a better player. But similar age and ppg.

edit: oops, my bad hasn't played center too much. but did take it on full-time half way through last year.

I like Galchenyuk, he's a consistent 20 goal ~50 point player playing without a good center his whole career.

last season/ Career
Gally
GP 82/ 418
G 19 /108
A 32/ 147
PTS 51/ 255
Domi
GP 82 /222
G 9 /36
A 36 /99
PTS 45 /135

Not as far off in stats(would have to double Domi's GP played)

Just another stupid Montreal trade.

MB trying desperately to find a center and they're stacked on the left side, maybe that's his thoughts? Bad trade for Montreal in my opinion.

Ya I thought so, but was wrong. He did play January on last year though. I'm guessing that's what MB wants/dressing room issues with chuky. Surprised at this before a pacioretty move though.

I've just been a fan of Galchenyuk's for awhile now, I don't think he'll become some all star, but he has more to give offensively. I think he definitely puts up more points than Domi from here on out.

I don't mind Domi though, he's a good middle 6 player, but AG is a legit top 6 player.
