have just come to the conclusion that all of this tryamkin talk is mostly about trying to get him traded

both from canucks and his side

that tanev/virtanen/tryamkin for ror rumour has really stuck with me

This would be HORRIBLE from the canucks side, no chance!

Isn't he a "safe" player. We need too be swinging for the fences and hope like hell that they can at least be ahl fodder.šŸ˜

If you trade down to get Kotkaniemi Chicago will grab him at 8 . I will be surprised if he is there at 7 . A few teams need a center.

I think the buyout window opens tomorrow doesn't it? Wonder who gets kicked to the curb?
- LeftCoaster

Lehtera, Paul Martin, Gaborik, Dubinsky, Tyler Ennis and Brouwer are my guess.
Brouwer maybe not yet, as he still has some term on his deal.

Not a safe player no, Tkachuk would be a safe player, Wahlstrom, talented and skilled.

i really feel like hughes is a chayka pick. wahlstrom secondary to that, but i think in that scenario he takes zadina

i also like tkachuk with the arizona angle if he's there too

like that you threw in the colorado pick for a different take

They would be paying for 6 more seasons, not sure I would do that.
Try give it 1 more run this season and see what happens.
Kesler is supposedly out for season, so that should free up a fair amount of capspace.

Edit; the Hextall interview in hockeybuzz flyers blog was well done.

If it falls like this Iā€™d want Kotkaniemi or a trade.

My inside understanding is that the Canucks have Tkachuk #1 on their list at the 7th pick followed by Dobson then Bouchard, so take that for what its worth...

Reality is, if that was the offer, Buffalo would take it but they have no intention of trading ROR....

Christ, I hope that's not the case.

Tkachuk strikes me as Virtanen 2.0. One big dumb bust out of the top 10 is more than enough.

I'm sure they would ā€“ if I was them I would ā€“ I just think it's counterproductive from a Canucks standpoint to send away a great trade chip and two young players for a mid-career player who's going to be on the downside when the team comes around. Don't get the fascination with trading for him.

E.P won't be able to get a puck through with those two Neanderthals crashing the net.

Kidding aside, it would be an entertaining line but I can't help but see them both being 3rd liners.

I could see Tkachuk playing the same style as Free Agent David Perron who will probably also score around 17 goals. I would definitely not pass on Wahlstrom

Tkachuk isn't my first choice of who I want at 7 but I don't think that is a fair comparison.

Jake relied on putting up points primarily by skating fast down the wing and shoot from the circles and for the most part that is his go to offensive contribution still.

I think Tkachuk is actually an underrated play-maker and if he gets held back in the NHL it will because of his inability to keep up with the play. He's good in front of the net and obviously he likes to be a pest.

I take Wahlstrom and a few D before Tkachuk but at 7 I don't think its a bad pick.
