I'd say the guy outside Dahlen with clear top pair potential is Boqvist. Problem is, he's a big boom/bust risk. He's my #1 guy I'd like out of this draft for that reason, but I like to gamble - neem55
I, 100percent, agree with this statement, it's the basis of my ongoing trade war with Donald. |

I hear Ottawa is trying to give Hoffman away, maybe the best of a bad situation for both teams. |

I really find this idea that because Dobson is a "safe pick", that automatically means his ceiling is lowered. That is not the case at all in my opinion. What makes him a safe pick is his play in his own end and his skating. He still oozes top pairing though. He can QB a PP, is good in the offensive end 5 on 5 and has a variety of shots to use at his disposal. He already has NHL size. Somehow in this crazy world, these attributes have worked negatively in his assessments because he's safe lock to be a top 6. This idea you cant hit a home run without more risk is silly. Trade down then.... there are lots of really high risk high reward picks as you move down....lollolollollo
People are so caught up in labels.
Like Top pairing. It appears people don't think you can have a player that is good at both ends of the ice to be a top pairing. You need lights out offense. I think Dobson likely loses less of his offensive production in the NHL than some of the other highly offensive small or slow top 10 ranked dmen. Who cares if it's safe. - boonerbuck those are the same people that then whine every time that player gives up a goal or scoring chance. |

Canucks Army has Bouchard at 7. They talk about his excellent vision, passing, defensive awareness and his smarts. - Reubenkincade
You need guys like Bouchard, with his big shot, but you also need a skating puck transition guy, not one or the other. Seabrook / Keith.
They have to figure out what's more pressing and what can maybe be picked up in round two. I know you can't pick two guys at seven but the truth is you need all sorts of skill sets to win. |

Lucic would never waive for Ottawa. And that's a horrible trade for the Sens, even with Hoffman's alleged psychopath female dog |

Even still. He was fit for the NHL 4 years ago but not for this speed game |

I heard Dreger on TSN 1260 in Edmonton that Lucic is in play but would have to throw in a "sweetener". Oiler fans all day and the hosts were suggesting Lucic and Puliarvii for Hanifan. No where near enough in my opinion, as it would take a minimum of their 10 oa just to take Lucic.
And they say Vancouver smokes to much weed. |

I still think he can decent bottom 6 player for the right team, but only if he actually got paid like one. I'm assuming, by "hockey trade", they're trying to unload him for a cap dump in return, the problem is that not many players around the NHL still have 5 years left on their terrible contracts. |

He has been a wussy since he joined the Oilers. His talent is being a sh1t disturber. I think playing with Jesus he thought he could be an actual player.

Prove it.... boqvist's scouting report says he's got one of, if not, the best shot in the draft. Bouchard's doesn't. |
