I don't see a real cap issue. You are right to point out the Marleau ( and also Horton ) will be off the books in two years. But next year Gardiner, Hansey ($7 Mil) this year
teh Bozek, JVR, Komagod, Polak (about $13 mil) cap going up by $6 mil this year and probably similar next year. Add that there are lots of opportunities to add entry level deals to fill roster spots from the Marlies. Where is the cap issue?

If the cap doesn't rise and remains at 80 these 3 deals will take up 29% of the space. If it does rise, and we can be generous and say 5 million to 85. They still take up 27% of the cap. Not including already there, Andersen, Rielly and Kadri at a total of $14 million or so?

There definitely will be cap issues in a few years. It's great to have guys on ELC but are they any good?

To be fair though, I rather have cap issues like this than be poop and still have issues.

With Dubas running the ship now I'm really not sure what type of off-season there will be. If Tavares doesn't sign here, most likely Nylander plays center in Bozak's previous secondary offense role.

Stone would look good on any line in Toronto it would be a big addition. When do we ever see offer sheets though?

There is nothing wrong with having 7 or 8 roster players that are on entry level deals. The cap will be $90 million or more, making the three salaries about a quarter of the cap. Lots of cap space to add key pieces.

We can't assume the cap is jumping so much. It's assumptions, I would rather look at it a little more conservatively.

Anyway, no matter the problem it's better than being Ottawa.
