Out of context? You literally included Moore, Marchment and Rosen as guys who will play 200 games. That's out of context?

And I said very shortly after, quality counts. Matt Martin played 500+ games. Doesn't exactly mean his team was more successful because of that accomplishment.

These prospects are good prospects but they're not all going to make it, especially Moore, Marchment and Rosen. They'll be lucky to play 200 NHL games combined.

I guess you could argue that a Goalie or Quarterback could make a whole team. It just seems somehow more annoying in the NBA. Maybe it is because you don't have to find a generational talent at a specific position, like Price or Brady.

Goalies can't score goals, quarterbacks can't prevent touchdowns. I don't care how many saves Price makes, he still needs the guys in front of him to score goals eventually. Brady put up huge numbers, but if his defenses allowed more than he could score, he would lose. Ask Peyton Manning about that for 75% of his career as a Colt.

Basketball is the only major professional sport where one guy can carry the whole team to the Finals eight years in a row. One guy who plays 90% (sometimes more) of the game and cancels everybody else out. Hockey has lines, Football has offensive units and defensive units, soccer has too many players, baseball pitchers are on a rotation, hitters bat 1 out of 9 times and even the best players make a hit 30-40% of the time (at best). Basketball really can be a one man show and their salaries show it.

UG is not wrong at all in his assessment.

My problem is simply that he should just give it a rest already. Just enjoy the fact that the Marlies won, and there are a couple guys who are likely to be NHL'ers, for one freaking second.
