did anyone actually watch the marlies whole playoff run on tv or the internet and if so how?
this might be the closest the leafs get to winning a stanley cup in my lifetime and i missed it's entirety.

Lol you keep bringing Martin back into this.. why? Everyone knows he doesn't belong in the league in today's NHL. 4th liners are now full of skilled players for the most part, as it should be.

Gives the high end AHLers a chance to see what they got, instead of giving the spot to some Goon just so players feel safe out there.

Anyways I'm going to bed cause you'll just continue all night long saying the same things over and over again as you always do every day. Later.

first

If you have a chance to sign Tavares - you do it, without reservation. Matthews, Marner and Nylander are under control, work out good deals if possible. Cap will be rising substantially in the next two or three years - gambling money from the US will boost the Cap.

- winsix

I dont think the Leafs can do it, even if the cap goes up 4MM this year. After Signing Nylader(6.5MM) and Carrick(1.5MM) the Leafs would have ~13MM left to sign another D-man and another forward.

not to metion paying 10.5-11.5 for Tavares would hut next year when Matthews (Probably 11MM) Marner(6-7MM) and Kapaenen(4MM) need to be signed.

I think Sparks is the backup next season.
Dermott and Johnsson easily make it.

longer shots but should get some time at some point Aaltonen, Holl, LoVerde, Borgman, Grundstrom and Moore

Holl and Borgman depends on what Dubas does with the D. but they are fill ins for bottom pairing not much more imo

Also depends on the bozek, Komagod, D. Moore, Nylander, Tavares etc. at centre

You would have to assume Mcelhinny(sp?) is just waived then?

Great game last night, crowd was very loud.
Hated the refs.
Great to be at a game 7 victory.

Andreas is bloody fast.
Marincin still sucks.

i just cant see Dubas walking away from Sparks after the Leafs have invested many years into his development.

We already know Dermott and Johnsson will be in the NHL.

Sparks might get some games in if Mcback up fails

Grundstrom and altonen may see 4th line time.

As for D...meh...Rosen possibly.

But we'll see what the off season brings after JT signs with NYI

Find a team looking for a veteran backup flip him for a 7th or something. Maybe Calgary? They can keep Jon Gillies in the AHL another year to develop.

I think he stays there as well. I also think he takes a team friendly (Stamkos type) deal.

I think your math is way off. First off the cap is projected to be 78M-82M for next year

Lets just tackle a serious gaffe on your part, why in the holy puck would Kapanen get 4M per year? Thats in Chiarelli territory dumb. Try closer to 2M-3M range close. The Leafs could fit Tavares if they want to. Lots of ways to get around it.

Here are examples for the years after next year, as next year isnt a issue. Leafs potential lineup.
