It makes sense. Could get more money by getting traded. Gets away from Hoffman and all that distraction. Sens would obviously get more value out of EK than Hoffman

I think it is best for Ottawa if they do though.

Th team needs to rebuild. Paying Karlsson 10+ MM a year to be on a last place team for the next few years just is a bad asset mgmt, to me at least.

Because his wife just went through a bunch of traumatic poop, and all her family and friends are here in Ottawa.

I wouldn't overlook that.......im not saying He'll stay for less than he's worth, but if Ottawa offers close to .market value I could see the "family factor" playing a part in his decision
