Pretty sure those are two completely different situations.
But not that much for big Todd. - Scabeh
I agree different situations, however one similarity - a big fat sh!t stain attached to both.

Price will be low now, what did the Canucks get for Todd Bertuzzi? - winsix
I don't remember all the details but I'm pretty sure they got Luongo in that deal.
Ottawa gave up Hossa to acquire Heatley after the accident that killed Snyder. So I guess it depends on what team you're dealing with.

For 2026, there will be 48 teams.
Nope, I'm not kidding. - Atomic Wedgie
I know it's an achievement, but I really can't stand the pundits talking about how "amazing" it would be to make the quarterfinals and teams actively hoping to aspire to making the round of 16. |

I'd have to agree with you; Other people knew about it and said Melinda Karlsson didn't want to cause a distraction;
UPDATED: Team officials and Hoffman knew about harassment allegations against fiancée for weeks, agent says http://ottawacitizen.com/...elinda-and-erik-karlsson/ … #ottnews - PatC80
my question is did MH know she was doing it while she was doing it?
He can find out after the fact, and it sounds like both sides initially tried to keep it a private matter.
Based on the reply by EK to one of the tweets he knew who was doing it right away. So hard to imagine MH didnt know she was doing it at the time |

The good news for the Sens is that by having to move out EK (because why would he stay?) and Hoffman they'll have more room to fit in the 4 of the best 2 players not in the NHL. They should be chomping at the bit after their undefeated run in the Calder Cup playoffs. - BlueBallz
They might win both the Stanley Cup AND the Calder cup this year.
Times are good in Ottawa

From the Guardian:
The 48 teams will be divided into 16 groups of three. The top two teams in each group will progress to a new knock-out phase of 32. It means that 16 teams will go home after playing just two matches, and critics have argued that a format featuring groups comprised of three teams is likely to be very unbalanced.
There is also, some say, a significant disadvantage to being the team that does not feature in the opening group game. Sixteen countries will start their campaigns against a team who have already played. If that team won their opening game they will know they only need a point to progress. If they lost it, they know they need a win to stand any chance of avoiding elimination. Both suggest a very different approach to a game where both teams start on zero points. |

I took a drive up Ritson yesterday. Had to turn around at the dump because I was dropping off a bunch of old deck boards and fence posts. Also, I figured I had already seen the nicest part of town at that point. |

yup, sports with contact is in trouble
https://twitter.com/Playe...tatus/1006883890705731584 - senstroll
It's not in trouble, hockey is a fast sport with hitting. It's more that they need to understand the issues that will come later in life and eliminate fighting; Implement a minimum 10 game suspension for any head shots. Like Boynton said in that story, he was out there trying to hurt people.. |
