True but I would say Lowe is not a gm due to his inept ability to make a team with 3 first overall picks opposed to the offer sheets.

I know it won’t happen but we need to explore all avenues to get better, I think if a team used a few offer sheets and made a contender then it can become a regular thing, so why not us?

The offer sheet problem needs to be addressed. The GMs don't want to raise costs on young players, and they don't want to lose their players, so they're clearly colluding to keep the number of offer sheets down.

You would think the PA would have an issue with this, but they also represent older leaders of the PA who could be priced out if RFA salaries went up.

So no one but the RFAs and maybe some fans want more offer sheets

And trade Ristolainen for a really good winger

Just spit balling, but lower the pick compensation, compensatory picks for any team that signs an RFA, a low percentage lottery chance in the following lottery.

He'll play where he performs the best, or where we need him due to injury. He's successful on both sides.

you don't trade him without a contingency plan. Botts feels extremely strongly about proper development. He knows CM is not ready for full time 2C spot. If ROR is traded, I will eat dog poop if a center of top 9 caliber is not brought back before the start of next season.

Hanifan is an RFA. What type of deal would you see him signing? I would be happy if it was the same deal as Risto signed. The only thing that I would see being an issue is ROR's contract. Carolina seems to be a cheap team, however with Brind'Amour now their head coach, I could see him loving a player like ROR.

On a side note, if this did happen, I would be fine with signing Ward for 2-3 years. Goalies like to have some familiarity playing in front of them.
