They'll have an opportunity in camp, and I hope they take advantage of it. In my book, the bare minimum they need to do is bring in a G and LW through trades/FA. Frankly, I feel they need to do a lot more.

I hope you're right and everyone does have a shot to impress at camp. but it's human nature to be bias and I feel the organization might already have guys like Smith, O'regan, and Olofsson already penciled in for Rochester while bums like Larsson and Girgensons are already penciled in for the Sabres.


I'm ready to see a 30-40% overhaul of this roster and starting the season with the same players from last season will yield the same results. We have vets to guide the young guys, it's time to let them play since they've shown they have the talent to do so.

Cliff Pu came very close to making this team last year. Bailey and Baptiste will be here or with another team. So there will be an influx of new talent, and we should have a pretty good handle on the roster competition by around July 5

Idk, that story is incredibly (frank)ed up. If they have any intention of re-signing Karlsson, Hoffman has to go now or yesterday.

That said, Uncle Terry is fond of his christian-values types, so I doubt it happens

And I'm saying that the line that plays the most at even strength and is the go-to line in all key offensive situations, it's effectively the first line. You can keep calling him a 3C, but you're falling for a false narrative.

I'm sure they'll get a shot. I'd imagine Smith, O'Regan, Nylander and a bunch of others are viewed as 'on the bubble'. Olofsson is likely slated for Rochester, he'd have to really stand out.

Right now, Girgs is their top LW. I can't imagine them not making a move to change that.

I understand your logic. I just find it bizarre. Malkin is more sheltered to this day than Matthews was as a rookie, and I've never heard anyone call him a 3C.
