Sure, I’m sure his shot will get better. An opinion and not made up facts. Thank you Nucker - CanuckDon
You're dismissing things as pure opinion and fake news without providing back up for your argument either
I don't know that being a nazi about this is really worth it in an opinion forum. |

Bouchard was rated Best slapper in the OHL. Show me a scout that said boqvist has a harder shot than Bouchard. You can’t. Let’s stick to facts for once - CanuckDon
Show me a single scout that says bouchard has a harder shot then boqvist. You can't. Bouchard has a muffin of a wrister. |

Scouting Report
Smooth-skating puck mover who plays with flair and grace while owning one of the hardest shots of any draft-eligible defenseman. Boqvist is an attack-first option who loves to use his speed and agility to dart and weave around opposing zone schemes. He can quarterback a power play with the best of them, and he’s not shy towards unloading his howitzer with or without shooting lanes being clogged. His puck skills — especially stick-handling — and play within the offensive zone are extraordinary, and he appears to have a firm grasp on how critical his job is as his team’s center of gravity. Boqvist has a lightning-quick first step and uses it to escape trouble or interdict an opposing pass.
He tends to back off from his own blue line and appears content in trying to steal the puck after enemy zone entries rather than thwart them up high. Boqvist’s positioning in his own end can be ulcer-inducing, as he is a habitual gambler and floater, and his lack of upper-body strength denies him the ability to knock forwards off the puck once they slip behind him. Nevertheless, he is clearly an excitable game-breaker who has the potential to produce a lot of points at the NHL level. - Pres.cup
Sounds like JJ Daigneault to me. |

You're right, if he was younger by a few weeks he'd bea 2019 draft.... Don was right.. I am an idiot. - Pres.cup
Doesn’t much matter to me which one of you is the idiot, but like ManVan, all other things being equal, i would gamble on the player who was younger, with more potential to grow/develop. |

Isn’t that the whole point of what I’m saying? When Prez says Boqvist is the best skater and has the best shot etc. He has no proof. How can I possibly prove that another player has a harder shot without getting them in a rink and using a radar gun. I did provide evidence for my argument as Bouchard shot was rated the hardest by OHL coaches. Is that more reputable that his rediculous claims that the kid is generational. You are encouraging his lies. Shame on you |

so who do you think benning drafts at 7 right now? or do you think its traded for hanifin? - Nucker101
I hate the Hanifin trade.
I think if Benning goes into this year and has a lazy summer I hope they fire him. This club has had the worst record in the NHL since coming on board and has had very little to show for it .
I really don't see an advantage of having players coming back . Benning needs to put on his big boy pants and make some moves. I want to draft Wahlstrom . I think Him and Brock as the one two on the right side would be great. If not I want Kohk
I am tire of arguing this but I think you can find a Dobson type player with the 37 th. |

Like? Just asking, as long as he doesn't trade a draft pick I'm all for moves! |

I'm not encouraging lies I'm just saying people here like to talk using a certain kind of language that maybe could be taken as though they think they are stating facts. If I say for example "Anze Kopitar is a better hockey player than Evgeni Malkin" are you really worried that much about the semantics of adding "in my opinion" to that?
If you really take everything said on here that seriously I worry for your mental health. Pointless silly arguments |

I suppose you are right, I can choose not to read posts that rely solely on absurd opinions and aren’t supported by facts or at least qualified opinions. Dobson is a mix between Orr and Lidstrom. |

Ok....just wondering why you used that when comparing the two if they played in different leagues. |

Stecher for Hoffman
Gudbrandson for Petrovic and a 4 th or Bjudgstadt
Hutton, Grandlund for any pick
Sign Green or Carlson and trade Tanev for a first plus
Trade for a second line center then trade Sutter to the Ducks
You can't do all but he needs to do something |

It's possible to debate and discuss without throwing hate around. If someone throws out a truly ridiculous opinion I'm all for razzing them about it but calling someone an idiot because they think one players slap shot is better is a little over the top no? |

They wont fire him before the draft here next season. Especially after the 2017 draft he had. |

why did I use it? I thought I explained myself but I guess not. Prez said Boqvist has the best shot out of the top defenders. I asked for some evidence of this and he showed a quote saying that a scout thought he has one of the best shots. Not the best.
I countered with a poll of OHL coaches voted that Bouchard had the hardest shot in his division. That's a large sample size of qualified opinions supporting that he has a cannon. I am disputing Prez's notion that Boqvist definitley has a harder shot. |

Stecher is not getting you Hoffman my friend
Trading for a second line center will cost you a significant roster player or draft pick so I can't see that being realistic. Rather just sign a UFA or throw a boatload of money at Tavares.
The rest I like |
