Sutter is not a second line center. Big hole there - VANTEL
Sutter is our 3/4 depending on Gaudette. eP will be a center imo |

Both Gaudette and EP won't be a refined center for a few years.
Would you rather go with Bo Sutter Gaudette as your 123 or
Bo ROR Sutter? |

4 years from now I would like to add the current version of ROR. Thats when we would need a player like that on our timeline. |

I really hope we don't pay RoR. I would rather Bozak as a 2 year stop gap to win face offs and ease EP in.
EDIT: Trading for RoR is the same as stating that our rebuild is over. May as well sell more futures for Hanifin to try and be a playoff team now, rather than later.

I think id rather get Speeza as the stopgap. We want to develop and still pick really high with the draft being in Van. Get Dallas to add a second for taking him on. Then trade at the deadline for a second. Classic pump and dump. |

If we don't find a second line center we will end up with 96 goals this year |

Yea Hughes! With the draft in Van, lets not stop sucking now. That would be too Canuck like. |

You may as well keep Sutter over Bozak as 2C |

4 years from now, maybe, 4 or 5 of the season-ending roster will be on this team.
Several players in this draft, like Veleno, Hayton, Kupari MacLeod and Kotkaniemi will be a much better fit that RoR would be today.
Those players are a reason why I would not be opposed to a trade down scenario, and I have never liked that scenario in my 30+ years of following the draft.

Fir and maple - A_SteamingLombardi
Good trade, season that poop for next winter and you'll have some good hearth wood.
My dog just cornered a mink, that's been killing my geese/chicken, under a pile of scrap metal. I could see its evil beady eyes reflecting the green from my barrel light.... bang bang. No more dead birds. |

Agreed, now is not the time for big nsme free agents. Build up, stock the cupboards, and develop. Trade for short bad contracts <3 years for picks and prospects. And if you can, and it makes sense, trade down for more picks. |

Can't dress an AHL team.
Doesn't matter what we think Benning is actively looking for a 2C |

Horvat will be if Peterson pans out.
Horvat, peterson, taveras, sutter, guadette
Vs
Edler, tanev, Carlson, mdz, OJ, strech, pullout, Hutton.
Yup, we need D more, especially when you consider the age of the players. |

Do you think Pettersson should be a 2C around game 9 , 18 or 22? |

Yep i know. Thats where our prospects will be playing. We just dont need 7 mil per, long term free agents that we give up high first rounders for. Speeza fits the bill, low cost or actually gain picks to aquire, not shed. |

Funny enough both Sedins were paid 7 mil each for 4 years and about the same point production |

Game 50 after we trade Taveras for a pair of firsts. |

As many have said many times the rebuild starts when the Sedin's are gone. They are now gone and it is time to build through the draft, have patience and enjoy the evolution of the new core, whoever it may be.
So many good players available this year, that I am almost giving up trying to guess who goes where and just hope Benning gets another pick or 2. I can wait another couple seasons or so, for this team to develop. |

Over the past 4years the twins actually provided the value that they were paid.
I could see peterson being a sheltered 2c.
Sutter and horvat will play closer to 20 minutes each, with sutter taking lotsof the defensive play. Peterson will be 3rd in minutes but will play pp1 and get scheduled offensive come starts, his stat line will read like a 3lc, with 2lc O zone time.

If OJ was ready for top 2 after being drafted just 2 years ago, that would be an incredible feat. |

If you are not taking on new players other than the draft, and going with people you drafted then they are the best. Pretty scary isn't it?
You need to bring them in slowly
It will be a (frank)en mess if you are going with Dahlen Gaudette EP Demjko Gaudette Goldobin Boeser and your vets are Sutter and Loui |
