Lol those are terrible odds. EDM should be 45:1 - CanuckDon
They are going to be tougher after July 1. There's a good reason they are 18/1 now |

Pretty good idea for what our PP could look like this coming year. I am really looking forward to seeing BB and EP on top of the circles on either side I just hope Green is smart enough to put EP out there early in the season. |

At this point I’m writing off OJ. If he becomes anything, it’s a bonus. |

They im not sure they have a puck distributer to make that work (that's basically the TB model). Likely our best chance though, I'd like to live or die by that group learning chemistry. |

Interesting stuff https://www.nhl.com/news/...-at-nhl-draft/c-299017524 - neem55
Good answers from Benning, he’s learned some lessons
Interesting that he said there’s a consensus Top 5 in this draft, just a couple of weeks ago he said there was a group of 6. And I still don’t really know who he’s talking about.
Dahlin, Svech, Zadina are the 3 obvious ones. So I wonder who the other 2 are that are getting pushed above the rest in the scouting community?
Tkachuk, Hughes, Wahlstrom, Dobson, Bouchard, Boqvist, Kotkaniemin
I’m guessing Hughes and 1 of Tkachuk/Wahlstrom |

I think barring any injuries, EP is almost guaranteed top PP minutes. The skills this kid possess is mind boggling!
And to think I was originally upset with us not getting Glass. |

I'd say it's Dahlin, Svech, Hughes, Zadina, Tkachuk is the top5. I also predict that to be the order guys are picked in. Detroit will go Wahlstrom or Boquist I think. Koktaniemi could slip in I guess, I just don't think it's going to happen. Top 10 but not top 5. Tkachuk to Arizona just makes so much sense. |

I'd be calling Winnipeg everyday about dmen. They have a serious cap crunch coming, a lot of solid young talent in the show and AHL. They might ride it out, but I'd put money on them resigning Wheeler before the season, with Morissey and Trouba unsigned that's a lot of dough. Laine, Myers and Conner up next year, something has to give. |

Green is very invested in making players "earn it" so I wouldn't be shocked if EP wasn't on the PP until Christmas |

Just my guess. I'll be happier if someone takes Tkachuk earlier |

Yeah, I mean I could see either of them being drafted top 5, I could even see MTL drafting Kotkaniemi too(which would be hilarious with Zadina on the board). Ottawa I think goes with whoever is left from Tkachuk/Zadina |

Well we're not at the bottom - NorthNuck
Good news: Toronto is in the top three!
Bad news: The two teams above them are in their division!
Of course, you Canucks fans may want to reverse the good news/bad news lead-ins. |

imo TOR is overrated in those rankings. Without better defensemen they aren't a legitimate threat to go deep.
They lost to Boston who lost to Tampa who lost to Wash |

On skill alone, I'd agree. Everything I've read on the combine interviews is that teams (MTL, OTT, ARI) really liked Tkachuk in interviews. |

I 100% agree with you.
And I still have doubts that Andersen can be the guy.
But remember: Vegas odds are not who the bookies think will win.
It's who the bookies think that the fans think will win. |

I will be extremely disappointed to the point I'll walk on these clowns if they trade the 7th overall pick for a player. I could handle Noah Hanifin straight up, or, for a bit player and our first as an addition, but, that's it.
Only because Hanifin is 22 next year would that be an acceptable return IMO. Trading for a guy like O'Reilly is a non-starter with me because of his age and how many holes there are in the rest of the lineup.
Moving down is fine, because he'd capture another pick most likely, which is what they need to do at this point in their evolution.
Why the continual shortcut route, it just baffles me as to what they're thinking? - LeftCoaster
They already have a deal in place probably that if a select few players have already been taken then they are trading the pick.

I mean he gets injured, he's also better defensively than anyone on your team by a country mile. So... ya. You'd be lucky to get him, to say the least. Babs would get a lot out of Tanev and likely not have to use him quite as much (which would help the durability thing). |
