I think you just summarized world history in 11 words. Well done.

for 7.5 mil per

he should be driving us to the playoffs

not crashing into 31st

- homiedclown

If u pay Larsson 7.5mil, it doesn’t suddenly make him a better player

O’Reilly is who he’s always been
Expecting him to suddenly morph into a player like Crosby (since that’s who u brought up) just doesn’t make sense

Straw man points my a$$

Is it easier to score 5v5 when u start in the Offensive zone instead of the defensive zone?
Yes or No

And is it reasonable to think a player would produce better when playing with Wilson & Reinhart... or Connor & Wheeler?

Both pretty obvious answers

But I’m sure you’ll avoid answering the questions so as to try & skew the discussion in a different direction

That’s your prerogative though i guess

- jdfitz77

I get that these are your talking points with RoR. I just don't happen to think they are good points.

RoR's played the bulk of his time in Buffalo with Reinhart, Kane, or Okposo. Everyone knows Kyle's story, but these simply aren't bad line mates.

Turning to ozone% is you skewing things. Of course it matters, don't think anyone argues otherwise. Ice time and PP time matter as well, and he gets boatloads of both. He also ranks high on ozone starts, but you love to ignore that.

I like RoR more than you think, but my first defense of him is that he is good defensively, not that this is holding him back. I think he should be used even more defensively.

Again, you're arguing with me about a comparison I've never made, and you just outright dismiss.

No worries, I’m sure he will be here all night. This class is going to be a long one.

I won't be here all night. I know how it ends, but it's mildly amusing anyways.

Trading O'Reilly And or risto forces mitts to #2 center and creates a huge whole in rhd. We need a goalie and a winger for Jack. And bottom 6 productivity.

Well then i guess you guys are right and all the NHL players who voted him most underrated are wrong...

And i guess (by Sbroads own words) the Analytics community that “loves him” is wrong...

And i guess all the media experts, and coaches, and GMs, and Team Canada...

I guess they are all just wrong,
and u guys are right

U know what i mean

When a player’s salary goes up,
it doesn’t arbitrarily raise his talent level

Yeah, bc Crosby is the best player in the world

It sounds like you’re expecting O’Reilly to be able to do what Crosby does,
just bc he got a big raise

Linemates don’t matter
They should magically transform lesser players into more talented ones

How many guys in the league actually do that though?
Not many imo

Same straw man over and over.

I explained the analytics debate to you before. I guess I'll just be happy that you no longer call it a consensus.

Wasn't it just this morning where one those 'media experts' said he was worth a 2nd rounder?

Here's a nice story about an undrafted rookie FB the Bills signed after inviting him to OTAs as a try out:

I never banged a 10, but one night I took home five 2s.

I guess that puts me on the bottom 6, occasionally filling in on the top 9, but only when playing in Middle Zealand on Tuesdays and Sunday afternoons.

Is that the majority opinion?
Everyone knows he’s held in high regard

And as far as the Analytics argument goes,
those were Sbroads words i was repeating
And he wants ROR gone

Do u have links where particular sites rank players?
I’d be happy to check it out

I don’t go to these sites though,
and i haven’t seen anyone posting rankings that put him in the 40s or wherever u guys think he belongs

Everything I’ve seen has O’Reilly ranked in the mid20s
