Tkachuk is a good player. People calling him a grinder or a future bust are fooling themselves.

He wouldn't be my choice at #3 as I believe his offensive potential isn't as high as other forwards in the draft but it's obvious to me he has the tools to become a successful player in the NHL.

I'd still like to see them trade the pick for a young C + other assets, it remains their most obvious need and this might be the best opportunity they get to fix that!

According to all I have read he's like his brother but a little better all around, and Matthew had 25 G 24 A in 68 games last year as an 19 year old.

I think you can expect 35G 40A 75 points from Brady in his prime

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/leagues/seasons/teams/0004492018.html not much of a difference with the CHL.
- Fredobbface

BU has the clearly youngest team of H-East. They have double the number of CHL eligible players that, say, Northeastern has

http://www.hockeydb.com/i...ons/teams/0005732018.html

Average 20,6 (not counting the guys with less than 5 games)

BU's average is 19,04 (I did count goalie no. 2)

University of Maine is nearing 21 years average, with 3 eligible CHL players.

21,5 for UMass-Lowell, 3 19 years old.

Now if I take the Regina Pats, and take the playoffs squad to avoid counting players traded out: 18,45. And since they were guaranteed to go to the Memorial Cup, you know they went for a ''win now'' roster.

Why would a team trade a young center for a pick? Yeah we have this young guy he's going to be really good, but we really want to take a step back and gamble at the draft

It's the 3rd overall pick, any team with depth at C would at least listen... And there's still a gamble on a C who was drafted last year or the year before but hasn't played in the NHL yet

Leaving all that open space top net once again!

A complete bust. Then again it was obvious since the day they drafted him.

canadiens will draft Zadina , they need scoring , sory but tkachuk doesnt have the numbers ,, forget all the mumbo jumbo of character and so on and so forth also Tkachuk has stated he wants to pursue his college degree so habs won't see him in the lineup for a while , big mistake if they take tkachuk IMO

Brady was also sparingly used at C this year and produced a FO % of 46.8 (29-33). It’s possible that BU views Tkachuk as a future C for their program.

Never used as a centre, that's from his centre being thrown out.
