How bad does Edmonton want Lucic gone is the main question - obie
Not bad enough to trade the 10th pick. The article you posted says a second rounder is more likely. |

The kind of guy a man wants his daughter to be dating eh? - Scabeh
You can trace back everything that happened in the last weeks of this guy. A huge love declaration commented by his GF, then another comment from him saying "Where the (frank) are you now??" than a new post calling bad names to all women. The sad thing? Pics of him and a baby. |

Your general idea made sense.
I think the #10 pick is too much of a price to pay if they have to take another bad contract. - Scabeh
Maybe they would make a deal for Weber or Gallagher. |

That's what Edmonton is hoping but do you think any team would take that on just for a 2nd? |

All this talk about Eller, DSP and Alzner... whatever.
The biggest mistake I take from this is trading “up” in 2010 to draft Tinordi, and skipping over Kuznetsov. A 6’3, 200lbs skilled centerman who had good numbers for a 17 year old in the khl at the time.
Who also would have just won the Conn Smyth if not for Ovechkins story. |

Absolutely but if they can get rid of Alzner and grab the 10th in a deal, I'd consider it |

It's too easy to blame the Habs for passing on Kuznetsov.
Back in 2010, the KHL was seen as a serious competitor for Russian players and Kuznetsov already had a 3 year contract over there.
He was an obvious top 5 talent in the draft but people didn't want to "waste" a first round pick on a guy that might just stay in Russia.
Washington picked him because they were confident having Ovechkin, Semin and Varlamov would help bring him to the NHL.
That doesn't excuse picking Tinordi though. |
