You realize we live in 2018? Not 1965 where I can turn the television set off, avoid reading the newspaper, and live in blissful ignorance. You’re pretty defensive over a pretty poopty coffee shop
- Nastradamus

Have you looked around at society?
People easily live in ignorance.
I don’t care about Tim Hortons at all.
Other than I like donuts and I don’t drink coffee

They can’t and wont.
They’ll destroy the province and all the good social programs

This is not right, and I’m not a conservative before you get into that. Saying extremely bold statements for the sake of sounding intelligent, isn’t the right way to have people respect your opinion.

I don’t care what political party you line with....I align with none. I go based on person and ideas.
This year....for this election...the pc party and Doug ford have no platform and no clue what to do to make this province better.
“A buck a beer” in a free market. Good job Doug

You’re right about him not having a plan, however he’s surrounded himself with pretty prominent pcs. So like I said, if they can bring financial stability back to the province we will all be better off

So far their plan would put Ontario in further debt

Yeah not happy that they are not balancing the budget in the first couple of years. The alternative is a spending spree courtesy of us (the tax payer)

Well no the alternative isn’t a spending spree.

Doug isn’t good at running a business.

It's Doug Ford, no matter is around him he is only going to listen to Doug Ford. We know this from his time at Toronto City Hall, and the things he will do.

Financial stability? We already have that - the cost to service the debt has never been lower and is affordable. Doug has no plan to pay for his election promises and will run the largest deficits.

Exactly. The problem with people voting by party only.

You know what helps keep payments on government debt low? Historically low interest rates. What happens when the US fed inevitably increases interest rates and we do the same in Canada? All of a sudden making payments on that government debt will be harder to do. Can’t imagine that the “cost of servicing debt has never been lower” when we continue to rack up historically high amounts of government debt. I also don’t think there’s any justifying the size of Ontario’s debt - this can’t possibly be spun as a good thing

He's going to tell us how he loves immigrants as he cuts programs that support newcomers. He will tell us about his love for children as he cuts education. He will tell us how he loves the elderly as he cuts health care.

But you can go to the corner store and buy a beer for a buck. PROGRESS!

I remember Tim Hudak telling it like it was. He told people what it was going to take to turn it around. Kathleen Wynne just gave away goodies to the electorate and gave increases to targeted Public Sector unions, stripping them away from the NDP. She won because of the stupidity of the Ontario electorate and Hudak lost for being honest.

Doug Ford remembered that lesson. He didn't promise the store and didn't give away much on the cost of his platform. What's coming is cuts to the civil service through attrition and defunding of some of the program spending, once their mandate ends. If he'd told that to the electorate, he wouldn't have had a chance. It's necessary medicine and what's needed to end the tax and spend party that the Politicians on the left love to embrace.
