I've bashed the guy for years. I'll never be a fan, but he does well with JT. I don't have an issue with it. If JT walks I think we will see the old Bailey.
As far as the bolded part - I can't wait! The country club is now closed! - JimmyP

My prediction is he's gone within 2 years most likely by seasons end. - Cptmjl
Its impossible to speculate right now. There are too many variables between JT, the open roster spots, new coach and new GM. Who knows. |

I agree, although I did think he got off to an ok start in 2008 when he began the rebuild by trading down to select Josh Bailey and garner draft picks to re-stock the cupboard which was left bare.......first and foremost by Milbury......then by the Committee. A lot of people criticized him for not selecting Filatov or Luke Schenn with the 5th overall pick.
It's everything that came after that brought about his demise..... - JohnScammo
I was so sold on Filitov!!

I know the player and I know our new POH/GM So I stand by my prediction .
I hope the guy lives up to his contract of course but I don't see it happening. You are right JT staying does play a huge role but I feel the way I do either way really. Lou doesn't try to appease players even Tavares. Not his MO. |

I kind of was. At first I said I was ok with Garth's selection of Bailey 9th overall after trading down to re-stock the farm. Then cpt and ses called me a Bailey lover, so I had to bolster my Bailey-hate credentials. |

Admittadely I was also. With that said so was everyone else. We were all wrong and Snow was right. If 12 years of being a GM was based solely on that decision then he would be just awesome |

#Isles President and GM Lou Lamoriello on @FAN590 earlier on why he fired Doug Weight:
“I have my reasons why. The interaction that I had with Doug, he knows why..”
Sounds like Dipshit Doug didn't like a little criticism from someone who actually, you know...has a clue. - eichiefs9[/quote
Shannon must be thrilled Doug is out as coach. Cannot believe how badly he handled himself. |

If Bailey won't be playing with JT then they need to trade him ASAP while he still has some value. |

Oh stop with whining about perceived whining. Discussing a players worth is not whining. You are actually whining. The discussion is connected to our new GM poh and how he won't put up with lackadaisical bs. - Cptmjl

I wish I coulda witnessed that interaction. - Wildschwein
I'm sure Doug would have handled it with the same grace and civility that he handled being asked some mildly-difficult, routine questions at a post-game presser.
Guy is a (frank)ing asshat and deserves to be treated as such. Lou probably criticized him, he blew his stack, and Lou forked over his walking papers. |

Funny. A lot of Islander fans hated how tight lipped Snow was. Wait till they get a load of Lameriello.
As long as we're winning no one will care |
