That’s that for Tavares w/ the Isles. Have heard from far too many connected people that the only way JT was staying was a reaffirmed commitment to Weight as head coach. Isles will attempt to trade his rights before July 1.

Sorry dude - you have demonstrated time and time again you either don't get it, or simply deny a winning culture can be developed outside of merely collecting the best talent. We have been around and around.

From your posts, you seem to think Talent alone is solely supreme.
Your examples always take a supremely talented player and match it against a guy who barely survived as a 4th liner in the NHL.

Yes, of course there are different levels of talent, and head-to-head, one-on-one I too would always take Wayne Gretzky over Jordan Nolan.
Yes I would take Brad Marchand over Matt Freakin Ellis - who the (frank) wouldn't

I would also take the team that organizationally does everything in its power to maximize the collective output of all its' player to achieve the desired goal of winning a championship. And I believe the difference in those organizations who have a higher win percentage are doing something more than other teams -- they are finding a way to get the most from all their players.

Dude some of the trades were made to help secure the 1st or 2nd pick in the 2015 draft.

Some of the trades helped secure the 2018 #1 pick as it turned out

Steve Tasker, former Buffalo Bills player (probably knows nothing about football) raves about how important culture is on an almost daily basis. But again, probably doesn't know anything.

He told a story about how the 89 Bills simply didn't like each other and their talent was enough to carry them to the playoffs and that was it. Then, something clicked, and they all realized they were stuck together, so they might as well like each other. So after they spent the offseason really getting to know each other and gelling, they came back to the field with a new attitude. Playing for each other instead of themselves. And somehow, for some reason, and probably coincidentally cause culture doesn't exist, they made it to the super bowl 4x in a row. However, Scott Norwood did not believe in culture.
