Since 3C is a legitimate need and we don’t want to overpay via FA for players such as Riley Nash, Beagle etc. would anyone kick tires on Artem Anisimov? What would he cost in a trade these days? |

I don't know.
I think i would still rather see if anyone gets bought out(Spezza) or see if we have an internal option. He still has 4 years I thin and is 30 I think.
Still could see a trade where they bring in a youngish NHL vet that can play 3rd line center and then move to wing if needed. |

He’s got 3 left (including 18-19) but a modified NTC kicks in (10 team list) this season. Anisimov and Spezza both have good size though which I was looking for so we have a physically strong 3C. I do wonder if Spezza looks to sign with a top contender since he’s 34 and if he is bought out by Dallas.

My feelings are, if am I am acquiring a 3rd line center then I want a youngish NHL vet if I am giving up assets or a 1 year vet rental to see if Frost or someone in the system i ready after the 18-19 season. Feel like Anisimov just not the right guy because of age and term left.

I hear you, I’ve just been digging around for 3C options in my slow work time and he’s got good size and can contribute offensively; not bad on the faceoff dot either. i wonder if we could get Anisimov + for Simmonds (extended with Chi). His age is on par with the main core of our team and think it could be a decent place holder |

They dont have anything that interests me enough to package with Anisimov for Simmonds (unless we are talking 8th overall which they aren't doing) |

I am currently making my own team of all Russians (plus Mathew Barzal)
I would make a team full of Mathew Barzal's, but unfortunately there is only one |

Elliot seen hanging out of the passenger side of his best friend’s ride.
Unless the goaltending is upgraded, or Lyon/Stolarz evolve I see that being the weak link again. Not many options outside of waiting for Hart I guess. Unfortunate. |

Perhaps that can become a thing if we add one our 2018 1sts 🤷♂️ |

The other day I created an NHL team (Philadelphia Eagles) and did a Fantasy draft. Snagged Provy, Patrick, Hart and Barzal as my core. My jerseys are legit |

I wouldn't be against him at 14 if guys like Veleno, Farabee, Dobson or Kotkaniemi are gone. Berggren at 14 and Miller at 19? Both guys just seem to have that potential upside to be impact players if given some time. |

If Elliott had not gotten injured and the timing was better, he would've been fine.

So with the buy out season coming in the next two weeks, are there any players people feel Hexy will buyout? My feeling he would rather use the players he does not feel fit in to this years plan as trade options vice buying them out...thoughts? |

I don't see a buyout. Especially if the cap is going up to 80mil. i could see a vet buried though. Weise in the minors would save some space if a guy like NAK takes over the 4th line role. |

The potential buyout candidates, which I view as Neuvirth, Weise, and Lehtera, don't present a cap issue that necessitates a buyout. At the same time, I don't feel like you'd get much, if anything, in a trade without including any other assets.
Neuvirth and Lehtera are both UFA's after next season and Weise has 2 years left. Also, you could save close to $1M in cap space by waiving and demoting any of them. So I'd ride their contracts out at this point. |
