- I'm ready for the Swedish Invasion (Dahlin, Pilut, Olofsson)
- I'm ready to figure out if Baptiste and Bailey can play consistent NHL minutes/games
- I want Guhle full time
- I want Ullmark full time
- I want Nelson to play like the last ~15 games of last year.
- I want someone to surprise the hell out of us (Blackwell, Malone, C.J. Smith)

Just give me the youth movement already.

- TerryPegula

A lot of people don't recognize the significance of veteran presence. It's especially important for a young hockey club, especially one that has to get their culture in order.

it would depend on how many days I'd have gone without food. I'm open to trying most any food.

And fyi, I've had bean and/or veggie burgers, and they're (frank)ing gross.

I don't mind vegetables. i don't like when they parade themselves in a burger suit.

Oh by the way hearing about Cherry’s salmon sandwich

Was pretty disgusting to listen to Lol

I can understand eating a salmon sandwich that sounds good but letting the bread soak in with the salmon with the mayonnaise that just makes me gag

Beyond Burgers are the only ones worth eating imo

It's actually incredible how close to beef it is in texture.

It's about $12 a pound, and it comes packaged like hamburger. Super expensive, but worth it if you're a vegetarian - I am not

You do realize 12 of the 20 skaters will be different this year? They have added speed over the opening roster from last year.

2 of those will be goalies, and no, we will not have 12 new skaters, barring trades. We're still one of the slowest teams. Our slowest dmen are leaving in Falk and Gorges. But as far as the forward group, there's not significant change there, yet. There should be, but there isn't.

I'd call this a Gerbe comment but I don't even think he would go this far.

Did you ever find it curious that playoff teams trade for veterans for a playoff run? Have you ever wondered why they do that? Why a guy like Brian Gionta at his age can be important to a franchise?

I'm not saying, or even nearly implying, that we should be icing a team of 30 year olds. Your core should be young, especially this core, considering our best players are all under 24. Our top 3 (inc Dahlin) are under 21. Foot speed and puck speed are vital to today's success. Most 30+ year old players don't have the foot speed. What I actually said was veteran presence is important for a very young team like ours. 3 or 4 guys. Not 10.

That's all that needs to be said.

I'm biased for Cally (just using your example) but I would absolutely love it if he played for Buffalo. Not at his current celery, mind you. But yea, 2-3M, absolutely

I would agree. 3-4 of the right guys though...who possess credentials and have the balls to lead, sometimes by directly challenging the younger guys to totally buy in.

I wonder if Beane and McDermott could consult and sit in with Botts for any free agent interviews or proposed trades. They'll vet the poop out of the character of these guys. Imagine if we brought in some #culturedoesntexist and all the sudden all the players are on the same track, playing consistent and playing for each other. Can you imagine
