4 putts inside 7 feet he missed today
- homiedclown

For a course he dominates you would think those would be gimmies

He will be happy after his round but you know damn well he is going to be mad missing them.

Tavares is gonna come here to play w/ Moulson bc they’re friends

and

Vanek is gonna come here to play w/ Pominville bc they’re friends

just like when

Vesey signed here to play with Eichel bc they’re friends

Oh, wait...

There are still some old school guys in the locker room. Not a lot but there are some.

It's not a passing of the guard thing when they give it away on you.

Moulson would probably take it in stride kind of like Thorton handled him getting stripped of his C but you know there were players in the locker room that didn't like that at all.

- Stripes77

I get where you’re coming from
But if Moulson is sent down to the AHL,
i just don’t see anyone really caring about who would or wouldn’t wear #26

Probably not fair to compare the “C” to the situation either,
but i get what you’re trying to say

Your jokes are sad & lame

Ya know who won’t be wearing #26 for us...
Vanek

But u keep on hoping for a Sabres line of
Moulson-Tavares-Okposo

Thinking there’s even a 1% chance of that happening is insanity

- jdfitz77

Vanek also will have to wait until moulson is released/ waived or traded. I know it's a hard concept.

Vanek is someone the Sabres should look at strongly.
I get that his speed is terrible, but he still scores.

Mitts-eichell- sam
Moulson- traverse -okposo
Vanek- erod- baps
Pommer- mallone- wilson

#now after back reading , I should mention I'm kidding in regards to moulson. Its pretty obvious his ship sailed a few contracts ago. He could have a great camp battle with nylander....

I’ll give u a pass on the spelling mistakes,
but look at who u added to our roster man
U added 3 guys known to not be very fleet of foot

Half our lineup is pretty damn slow
We’d have the slowest forward group in the league

And while MAYBE u can justify adding Vanek even though he’s slow...
But Moulson? On line2?

Dude... that’s just brutal

Just bc guys happen to be friends doesn’t mean they’re coming here or that it’s a good idea

I’m not gonna let u live down this
Moulson-Tavares-Okposo
nonsense

And i don’t think you’d let me (if i said something that baths!t crazy) either

Disagree

And Moulson is probably getting bought out anyways

- jdfitz77

Why would they pay him $5M to play a year on another teams AHL club instead of just buy him out last summer?

Gionta/gorges
Didn't gorges waive his no clause to play with Brian in Buffalo?
Another best buddy pairing

Suter/ parise in Minnesota.

It does happen. So you are WRONG again.

1) the buyout period had passed

2) we would’ve had two years of dead $$$ on the Cap (18-19, 19-20)

Buying him out this year results in less than 1mil Cap hit for next year only
Which is easily manageable

And there’s like a million situations where a guy doesn’t sign to play with his BFF

Suter & Parise...
I’m sure that had something to do with the insane contracts they got
The friendship was just a bonus

I guess i missed who Vanek’s best friend was on Vancouver last year
Why’d he sign with them over us when Pommer had come back here?

They didnt need 16 games to figure out what they had.
Bogo would be a smarter buyout.
Lets revisit this after camp. No point in anyone here wasting their time arguing over what's gonna happen when nobody has a crystal ball.
Unless he really thinks he has a shot on another NHL team, my bets are on him retiring after he collects his bonus.

Maybe they did?
Part of a supposed “tank” by Botts?
Just wanting to see if he had anything left in the tank?

Idk...

I think the big reason was that a buyout of Moulson this year,
affects us significantly less going forward,
than if we’d have bought him out last year

And to go back to what Stripes was saying...

Buying Moulson out would just show good will in that we are giving him a shot to try somewhere else (even if not very realistic),
instead of just burying him again
That’s a professional courtesy imo

Both suter & parise signed in Minnesota to play together. It was well known that they were childhood friends.

Strangely pommer got traded to Minnesota from buffalo for your other favorite Jersey guys Johan Larsson.

Vanek followed pommer to Minnesota as a ufa. They were friends in buffalo, same with the wives.

Friends enjoy spending time with one another.

I have worked at plenty of jobs where my friends worked back in the day. That's how I got hired and vice versa.

These guys also have friends on half the teams in the league dude

I’m sure it’s much more of a bonus than a determining factor

$$$ and chance to win are more important factors

Lack of pride, just bought out, half ass effort. Pure gold

I don’t buy into that like u do
Just listing it as a possibility

I think the real reason Moulson wasn’t bought out last year was monetary

If they kept him for tank reasons...
why send him down?

I've showed you examples. Prime example of vanek following pommer to Minnesota.

Yes these guys like to get paid and win too.

You lost another one fitz.

2 BIG LOSSES if you include the beatdown Stripes gave you in regards to #26 being available to dahlin.

I need to see the opening night roster first

lehner not in net is an 8 point bump
dahlin is a 12-14 point bump
casey is an 8 point bump

I could see that for sure.

We had 62 points last year and were a -81 goal differential.

Top 19 teams in the league all had a positive goal differential
Team #19 Dallas was +10 with 92 points

So we would have to make up 30 points and 91 goals in differential to be sniffing around the playoffs (Low 90's)

Real goalie - + 15-30 less goals allowed
Dahlin - + 30-35 more goals (points)goals hes involved in
Mitts - +30-60 more goals

Hopefully 75-125 goal differential
30 more points

Could happen:

SIXTY goals from Mitts?
I'd be happy with 20.
....unless im reading this wrong.

Vanek was always going to the Wild, had nothing to do with Pominville. The rumors started way before Pommer was dealt. He grew up there. I remember watching him win the championship at Minnesota with a bunch of Gophers fans at the ESPN Zone in Disney on Spring Break.
