Get Nuge-McDavid a solid possession presence for their RW and you could likely bank on them turning that Corsi number. Rattie was the weak link as far as getting out of the zone and back on the attack. I'd say that's only priority number 3 for me, though.

A younger Justin Williams is the ideal candidate but, if I had to pick a current player, guys like Silfverberg, Palat and Neiderreiter fit the mold well. If I'm aiming for someone that wouldn't be too pricey, I'd say C Brown, Faksa, Pearson and even Williams himself would be solid.

This having been said, I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest that Puljujarvi could easily be this guy. Big, rangy with good skating and defensive acumen; he's got the tools to be developed into it.

Don't think so. You guys are rebuilding and are in no state to even crack the playoffs (no offense) and chase for the cup. But you still have Holland so...

However, hopefully Chia has given a try to see what's up. A guy like him on the Oilers does so much in bolstering offensive options, and it won't cost any assets.

The rumors of him landing in NYR are kind of sketchy as they have publically stated that they are entering a rebuild and want to focus on importing young talent and building on that. They made some big moves prior to the deadline as well focusing on that aspect. Perhaps Kovy could be a guide while being a force for them to, but rebuilding within one summer and killing it the next year and going for the cup? Possible, but highly unlikely.

As for the family stuff and gymnastics/football rumors, I mean yeah, I get it, but hockey players in general barely see their families during the hockey season. Pretty sure he can afford sending them to wherever THEY want to get the premium poop.

Gonna be interesting to follow up either way. My bet's on him landing in Vegas.
