no it would not be
trade the best player available and that's not one of those. If they want a D, trade for another 1st round pick - Symba007

Agreed, or trade your pick for a later one (not too late) and a very good prospect. |

Only way to get rid of Alzner is to take another bad contract. - BashCH
I agree... So buy him out in 2 years |

Well, Domi seems more of a LW than a real centre...they already have plenty of those. |

You probably have Anderson/Chytil in NYR or Rasmussen in DET that could be targeted. Don't know if any of them is worth it though. |

"Alzner gets another shot"
Its more : nobody in his right mind would give us a 7th rounder for him
Benn maybe, since he tough and mostly cost nothing just for another year, maybe you can get a 6th rounder for him |

Doesn't really matter what they get for Benn, addition by substraction |

a trade for an AHL D, that's the main focus of Bergy anyway - Symba007
That's not really the problem...you need depth on your farm team. The problem is how some of them always end up playing with the big club when they have no business being there. |

Is there really a chance Bergevin takes a defenceman at no 3?? |

Any standouts? You just gotta hope he does better than a Luke Schenn type. |

i don't mind if he make the right pick...good D have high value and every team want some every year...you can trade them for #1 lines players , we can think at Jones/Joanhsen or Larsson/Hall or Sergachev/Drouin
the positions that every team always looking for is D and C.... you draft those every year and your club is in shape...

At 3, you draft the best player still available, just my opinion

The priority I think is getting scorers. Ideally a centre but since there aren't many this year, gotta go with wingers. |

Not if the defenseman is not that good. Make the safe pick (best player available) and move on.They have 4 2nd round pick. Should be enough to draft some defensemen and/or move up to get another first round pick. |

Take Zadina, then combine #67 a 2nd pick and a huge Poutine for a pick allowing to take either :
Hughes, Bouchard, Dobson. |

you pick 3rd... d-men available are top player...just make the right pick... we can find good winger in 2nd round...maybe not high skill like svechnikov or zadina but the ranking is not always right... if they pick a high skill LD or a Center 3rd overall, if he'S a top guy i don'T mind...sometime when you go by the book you get (frank)ed, ask Edmonton lolll |
