What I mean is we should be hearing a lot of news and who knew what and when is big here so I find it entertaining. More than that we may actually have something to look forward to with the isles for the first time in maybe decades - Upstate_isles

Whatever floats your boat. First I couldn’t come back, now I crawled back... love the ever changing parameters based on dislike.
Flawed, faulty and self-propelling nonsense which you can stand on as your little soapbox. Looking for anything you want to see to fill the void.
I guess Larry must have stolen it from Staple, too. Dope. Keep convoluting. - B.D. Gallof

You know what floats my boat? The truth and facts. Truth - Staple had it before you did. Fact - You claimed to break the story before anybody else did which is 100% incorrect.
I have no idea. I just know staple mentioned it in his May 22nd article a day before you and Brooks mentioned it. Also last time I checked Brooks wasn't pounding his chest saying he broke the story
Sorry dude you're wrong again and I'm just here to let you know it. |

[quote=Isleshockeyman]Vukota, I believe you a hell of a lot more than I believe BD. He's like Snow. His ego is too big to admit error. Probably thinks he's the smartest one in the room, too. By the way, have you ever seen BD & Snow in the same room at the same time?
It's not if you believe me or him. It's if you believe Staple has a time machine. |

Is Vukota a source for inside Islander information?
What the hell he knows just as much as the rest of these bloggers. - Cptmjl
Hahaha. No i meant the fact that Staple has the isles signing Kovulchuk. Isn’t it somewhat true that when he says sh1t like that he’s pretty accurate? |

I think he's more accurate than a certain blogger & tweeter. Also, more than a certain someone that runs, shall we say, runs a hockey rumor website. |

Yeah Staple as much as I dislike the guy has more of an in with Snow and the orginization itself so he's usually pretty accurate. I believe there's truth to what he's saying whether it happens or not is a whole other story. |

Right right. I’ll tell ya what. Signing Kovulchuk would be a statement around the league for the isles. Ironically, they’ve swung and missed with the same guy. Just for the wow factor i want him to sign on the island. The fact that Ovie was feeding him on the PP for the one T is a close second. |

I'm not negative on the idea just concerned with the term and price. Everything hinges on whether Tavares signs or not with us it's maddening how this situation was handled up until Lou was hired. If he does resign anything more than 10 million per will be crippling to us. It makes the pointless cizikas, clutterbuck, Mayfield, Ladd, and Pelech contracts all the more aggravating. Zero foresight put into those contracts with Tavares needing to be resigned. Another face Palm, maddening lack of thought and complete ineptitude by Snow.
We need to KNOW what Tavares is doing by the draft or he's (frank)ing us hard no lube. Impossible for Lou or anyone to do anything without an idea of what he's doing. |

I couldn’t agree more with you. I do however think Tavares is leaning the isles way now that Lou Lam is in charge |

Me too JS. Smaller ice surface much more physical game. Might be Andrew Ladd 2.0.
I smell a bet coming - nyisles7
It would have to be a bet based on advanced stats like Corsi, I would think. If they sign Kovy, he'll rack up his points for sure, regardless of whether he plays on the 1st or 2nd line. He proved in the Olympics that he still has a great shot. The issue will be whether he is defensively responsible. Will he up his game like Ovie? Or will we be looking at Yashin 2.0? |

I hardly think JT is putting it to us at all, he is within his rights, and just cause he hasn't blabbed it all over doesn't mean he hasn't made his intentions known. This is the NHL now so get over it, I am sure Lou has a reasonable idea of what JT intends and has already started to formulate what his course will be, but it will not be said here by any blogger or anywhere else, so we just have to wait, which shouldn't be a problem with this group! |
