Failing in getting a #1 G yes, but not getting Schneider then wasnt on Garf, thats on VAN moving way up in draft to get their guy.
The epic fail is Hall for Hamonic and Garf offered others instead ... - Ur Not Me
Im talking about getting a number 1 goalie......im not touching on Garths fails. The isles haven't had a true elite goalie since Billy Smith. When Vancouver had Schneider and Luongo thats when the isles shoulda called Vancouver to pry one away. |

I have heard Eberle name thrown out there as well. Not sure if its true or not. I would want Holtby on the islanders to me there the best option in goal. Is there another goalie out there that can make us an istant playoff team |

Looking forward to adding all his grits and punching ability to the team.
" But he scored that one goal in the finals!" someone will say, as I intentionally smash my face into a cactus patch |

I'm old school and I know that's not the game anymore but I hope it happens just for the games against the caps |

Isles need a goalie no question but they cannot use both #1's for a goalie especially when goalie will not fix all the issues. Even a top goalie will do little if the Isles continue to play D like they do. - ses111
This is something that is simply not talked about enough. If Lou will be bringing back Weight and his five thousand assistants, won't it be the same b.s. systems (or lack thereof) as last year? What would be the point? Is Lou really going to allow them to begin the season employing the same dog $%#@ team D system? Because, if Lou goes out and improves the team with a new goalie, a top 4 dman and a couple of other tweaks, it may help very little if they don't play a solid system. |

Can't remember if I read this or saw it on TV, but someone was making the case that losing Reaves was what cost the Pens the Caps series...
Yeah, had nothing to do with two Cup runs in the lat two seasons with all your best players playing in the World Cup of Hockey in the middle of it or anything. |

Listen, unless the Islanders sign someone to go out there and literally "McSorely" Tom Wilson, I'm not interested in watching their dumb staged-fight where they give each other a celebratory handjob at the end as a sign of their mutual respect for each of them being a talentless trash boy. |

That's fine go grab a yogurt and some unsweeten iced tea from your fridge while they fight and I'll enjoy it |

I think Lou needs to bring in a new coach. I've seen enough from Doug and his staff. I also really want a #1 goalie, but giving up both #1's hurts in adding help on the blueline and other areas. |

Isles can just keep Johnston and use him as needed. No need to bring someone else in. |

My guess is Snow comes back, and Lou brings in a few of his guys who will ultimately take over the bench when Weight is let go... |

You may be right and it seems to be a lot of people's thought process with this. My thought is why? Why let it go that far? The WORLD knows both Weight and Snow are completely incompetent there's no evaluation that needs to be done. Why potentially sacrifice ANOTHER season to just do the inevitable? Fire them both and get on with it Lameriello isn't getting any younger and to me anything else is putting lipstick on a pig almost hoping for failure. Lou at this point shouldn't be looking for a reason to fire these two clowns and everyone they hired that reason exists and is in plain sight. Get it done and let's start doing things the right way keeping either or God forbid both is clearly NOT the right way. |

Makes me smile to hear Malkin kept EVERYONE out of the loop. Good to know someone with the cajones and brains is paying attention and more importantly, doing something about it.

Also, if you read his original tweet which was explicit you would realize this tweet is absolute bullshat. Guy is covering his tracks. Hard to misinterpret;
"Oilers offered Hall for Hamonic but Snow refused citing there would have been a mutiny."
Either he's protecting his buddy from further scrutiny for not making that trade or he was full of shat to being with. I'll go with the latter based on his past history. |

Dude you're lost if you think Snow is still making any important decisions. |
