I've always felt JT would resign but with Lou here and if he gets kovy to come on board I believe he will definitely stay. I'm sure lou is telling his agent we are getting a goalie and d man too

I'm not sure kovy signing will compel JT to sign? Not saying it'll hurt the process but I think a lot of people are completely convinced that it's a bigger deal than it probably really is to Tavares. It may help it shows something is being done but I don't believe the islanders signing kovy is going to push Tavares over the edge.

Players and agents are told lots of things by people trying to sign them in fact I'm sure both Tavares and his agent also (offered the poh job which still to this day cracks me up) have been sold quite a few piles of crap by a certain someone

I can see Tavares waiting to see what's done at the draft unfortunately and deciding from there which as we all know will handicap us from diving in with the uncertainty. That's why I don't feel any apathy for JT and his big decision he's had a whole heck of a lot of time to think about.
