Eichel needs to find consistency. He’ll have a stretch of 25 games where he gets 40 points then a stretch of 25 games where he gets 17 points. Playing a 82 game season will help. Having adequate line mates would help too. But McDavid will always be in a stratosphere by himself. It’s just a shame that he plays for the Oilers. Chirelli could screw up a wet dream and should have been fired half way through last season and even got a vote of confidence this offseason. Shows me Oiler management is clueless. Feel bad for the kid.
- Pegullaville

Hard to disagree with the last point but McDavid will outlast Chiarelli here.

Injuries have been an issue but the past 2 seasons, he's been right around a .ppg despite them.

If he gets injured this season or scores anything less than 30/60, I'd say your criticism is justified.

But i have watched almost every Sabres game the past 3 years. He's very impressive. He just looks casual and people think that means he isn't impressive. He's smooth AF.

Completely different style than McDerpid. If 97 doesn't score 120 this season, can I say I'm not impressed? It'll be his 3rd full season, so he should be miles ahead of the competition.

Interesting actually.
If he hits 45 pts in year 1, and in 2 years time is producing say 55, what would that pay contractually?
Pretty close to $6m I’d venture to say.

McDavid is better, Buffalo will be the better team.

Larsson fan is not a troll

Allentown is fine.

Lehner is still crazy

I got myself in quite the pickle this week:

I have my Russian ex trying to bring me to Denmark to get hitched and my townie Buffalo girl on the fence to move down here to the city.

You guys definitely have the relationship experience I’m looking for, so which route should I go?

Russian artist, fearless, strong independent, life would be unpredictable and amazing.

Buffalo girl, stubborn, family driven, huge heart, My current job has huge upside, with her structure, we could live a sweet life here.

2 - Bills new Director of Player Personnel fits Buffalo’s culture
Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane believe the culture change in Buffalo is a never-ending process because there is always room to improve. When the Bills went out looking for a new Director of Player Personnel, they wanted to find a “culture fit.” They found former Panthers linebacker, and Seahawks personnel man, Dan Morgan.

When Morgan joined One Bills Live, he touched on what it meant to fit the culture of the Buffalo Bills.

“It’s hard work, and humble people,” said Morgan. “Guys who want to work hard, have success in the organization. We got to do that in Seattle as far as building a roster, working your butt off and finding those diamonds in the rough. We did that a lot in Seattle and I’m definitely looking forward to doing that here.”

After retiring due an ankle injury, the former first round pick started from the bottom in a position with the Seattle Seahawks. Morgan was making $40,000 a year while chauffeuring players to and from the airport. But for him, it was all about the game he loved.

“I knew I wanted to stay in football. This is what I love," he said. "I love watching tape, I love evaluating, I love helping organizations bring in good players and I’m just definitely happy to be here.”

Now, Morgan handles the players on the Bills roster, and the possible additions to it as well. Even now, Morgan has a list of options for Beane and company to mull over if an addition or cut is needed.

“We have an emergency list, so basically we have guys that we want to work out," Morgan said. "We have guys who are true emergency, veterans that can come in and play right away. The work out guys, we like to bring in, work these guys out and then kind of compare to the guys we feel are on the bottom of the roster. You know, we’re just always looking to get better, looking to churn the roster, and that’s what you got to do to be a championship team.”

No, no, no!
You have it all wrong.
Guys just show up and magically, poof they win...doesn’t matter about team, buying in, accountability, none of that.
Just one day the team wins consistently, randomness at its’ best.

Ok Mr. Webster.

I’d define trolling as making a statement that is meant to elicite an emotional reaction.

- IonSabres

By making factual statements it's trolling?

I just think we don't like hearing how our boy isn't on the same level of McDavid or Matthews

I think once Jack stays healthy him and Matthews will be on the same level but lets face it his first 3 years haven't been great.

Injuries have been an issue, and his team sucks.

McDavid and Crosby are the two best players in the game

Then there is everyone else about 12 steps down from them.

Jack will be a ppg player or better in his career. I am happy to have him. My hope though is Dahlin will have more of an impact on this team in the long term than Jack as far as success goes for the team.

Jack can put up 90 points every year with Dahlin feeding him outlet passes.

That is truly what ports are.

Talent wins, culture doesn't.

but I bet the Patriots buy in more harder than the bills buy in because the bills don't work hard as the Patriots. I know for a fact eh Bills work much less harder than the Patriots. I bet the Bills play patty cake at practice while the Patriots run wind sprints and actual player drills.

It has nothing to do with Tom Brady.

When you get concerned about the Bills stepping back this year is it because they lost culture or because they have zero talent at the OL Position and WR position.

Every.single.coach. says we need to start by changing the culture.
not only here, but every where.

Watch every interview for a new coach. "Culture" will be mentioned.

When really it means get better players.

Yup, I hear that as well, no doubt.
Let’s just say that opinions vary on the subject matter...obviously, lol.

I am of the firm belief that a state of winning over a period of time is far more than merely the best collection of talent. From your posts, that is what I have seen you post many times, although I also believe that you think there is more to it than merely talent alone. So do I in fact.

For me, I believe that talent and training, etc are extremely important...and most teams are similar in that regard. They all have relatively the same equipment, technology, schedules, etc...and talent for the most part is pretty similar...but there are outliers their as well on both sides.

However, when an organization is able to achieve consistency in winning, I firmly believe that those organizations are doing something additional that separates them ... to me such things as proper leadership, accountability, buying to one objective at the expense of nearly everything else is what pushes thes organizations over the top. That is how I define culture.

Yes, nearly every coach, GM, etc Talks it, not many really Walk it. Therein lies the difference. The last asshat to wear the Bills HC hat is perfect case in point...he boldly talked about quite a bit...tough, bully, determined..blah, blah, blah and fielded a team so deficient in personal accountability it was a freakin joke, to the detriment of Team.

We have had the debate before and will again ... I don’t expect to change your mind, only to explain my mind on why I think it so strongly.
