Dahlin’s interview with the Sabres was yesterday so I wonder if anything comes out about it. Would have liked to have been a fly on the wall for that.

Eichel needs to find consistency. He’ll have a stretch of 25 games where he gets 40 points then a stretch of 25 games where he gets 17 points. Playing a 82 game season will help. Having adequate line mates would help too. But McDavid will always be in a stratosphere by himself. It’s just a shame that he plays for the Oilers. Chirelli could screw up a wet dream and should have been fired half way through last season and even got a vote of confidence this offseason. Shows me Oiler management is clueless. Feel bad for the kid.

Injuries have been an issue but the past 2 seasons, he's been right around a .ppg despite them.

If he gets injured this season or scores anything less than 30/60, I'd say your criticism is justified.

But i have watched almost every Sabres game the past 3 years. He's very impressive. He just looks casual and people think that means he isn't impressive. He's smooth AF.

Completely different style than McDerpid. If 97 doesn't score 120 this season, can I say I'm not impressed? It'll be his 3rd full season, so he should be miles ahead of the competition.

I'm still convinced a significant number of men who are self proclaimed feminists, eco warriors, etc. are just doing it for the hippie/hipster ass.

Once he has some capable wingers to finish his set-ups the kid will be on another level.

Probably more of being a d!ck this time. Point is, like a family, we can pick on our players...but damn all those outside the family who start it.

Eichel is elite, however he does need to find his consistency and bring it every game.
I have been very, very critical of his play in the past...however I did see his play improve significantly last year starting in mid/late November ... he needs that as his baseline and then ratchet it up a level in big games. I am hard on him only because I fully believe he can be borderline generational.

Here’s my early prediction...based solely on what I have read and heard...mostly from his coaches who know him pretty well I’d say. I’m praying for this to be true ...

I think in 3 years time, most Sabre fans will realize that Dahlin is more the heartbeat of the Sabres and probably should be recognized as the captain...no matter who has it at that point (very very high probability it will be Echicel).
I think somewhat comparable to Gretzky / Messier
