They need someone with a lethal shot on the opposite side of Eichel.
- sbroads24

One day it could be Oloffssn. Could argue he might already have the best shot in the entire organization, including Eichel. If he can figure out the NA game and round out his skills I can definitely see him filling a top 6 wing spot within the next couple of seasons.

Right, but we don't know what Mitts is yet.

If Mitts has 50-60 points for 6-7 years, I think we would know that he isn't steering too far off that path.

- sbroads24

Sure
Overall, i have high hopes for him
60+ points
I just don’t know how realistic it is to expect that of him right away

Also,
I don’t see any of the “play Mitts at 2C” crowd acknowledging that thrusting him into that role could be harmful to his development

Maybe it won’t be
But it’s something to (at the very least) consider

I don't expect that, but I wouldn't rule it out.

At least be good at trolling if you’re going to troll. There was a leaf fan that came in here at the beginning of the playoffs running is mouth about how our opinions of Hockey must suck if our team sucks. Told him E. Kane would last longer then his precious leafs in the playoffs. He never came back.

I like talking to fans of other teams,
but if they’re just coming here to act like d!ckheads then they can go F themselves

And what about whether or not playing him at 2C right away is what’s best for his development?

The Leafs didn’t even play Matthews at 2C as a rookie

Idk if we necessarily need to shelter Mitts?
But it would make sense to try & place him in advantageous situations when possible

Give mitts 2C even strength minutes (15) + PP2(2.5) and give ROR 3C even strength minutes (13) + pk (2.5) and PP1 (3)

sabres scored 199 goals last season

the average was 239

so to be an average team the sabres need to score 20% more goals

risto have been averaging a pace for 43 points in 82 games last 3 seasons

43 times 1.20 is 52 points, which proves my point if the team is scoring average he is closer to 60 points then 40 points

- homiedclown

The better way for the team to get 120% of the scoring is not for each player to increase by 20%. It’s for the secondary guys to increase by a long way, and the top guys to increase modestly.

Maybe by the end of the season
I think It’ll be hard to reduced O’Reilly’s even strength minutes until we get another reliable Center in here to alleviate some of his defensive responsibilities
And we most likely don’t wanna see Jack or Casey filling that role

As the season goes on,
i could see the 3rd line with Mitts gaining minutes of 5v5 time more at line4s expense

I’d assume that we role lines 1&2 pretty evenly 5v5

Mitts will probably start on PP2
But i could see him moving up at some point,
especially if PP1 struggles like it did last year

And what players are going to do this ? We have been dealing with this the last 3 years

Top two lines the Wingers can't score
Bottom lines no one can score

I'm looking around the league the third line players usually score up to 15 to 20 goals

What was ours one player with 8 maybe

I agree, but if mitts is as good as we think, hopefully he can reduce RORs minutes to 18-19 to make them more effective minutes. 25 is absurd

I would hate that I will lose my mind if he's with scrubs

They better have a plan for the third line Wingers

Trade for Pearson sign Michael grabner for the third line

I can't trust Justin Bailey or Nick Baptiste

I would rather have Casey with Jack then have him waste away on the third line with people that can't score

I hope the Sabres have the same feeling I do

So no excuses For ROR playing with Wilson or girgs, but if Mitts does, he's not getting a fair shake?

RoR played with Kyle and Sam plenty of times including Kane

RoR is a loser that is fake advertisement ive never seen some one moan and make excuses every game and never fix things

And honestly I don't want him on this team when Jack is named captain he made such a huge deal about him being passed over in Colorado

O’Reilly & Avs Appear Over, Report Says He Wanted To Be Captain

The Denver Post also reported that people who know O’Reilly think he was upset when the Avs didn’t make him captain last summer, opting to giving the captaincy to Gabriel Landeskog. The report says that could be the reason O’Reilly played hardball in negotiations.

And people want him here when Jack is named captain he's going to be so toxic in the locker room

Sure,
but who’s taking on the defensive minutes?

We gotta find someone
