He hasn't quite been good in any movies lately I'm just a little shocked he would take this on it could completely fail and that could be it for his career
- GERBE!!!75PTS

He was in Django, but I guess that's like 6 years ago now. I liked him in Baby Driver, but that was a limited role.

It does seem like for every good movie he does, he tries to do three bad ones.

agreed

the movie itself was bad
kind of like every fantastic 4 movie

and green lantern

and justice league

- homiedclown

Yes Justice League was such a (frank)ing huge disagreement lol I felt like I was watching a kids movie

They should completely reboot the whole series but keep Wonder Woman

Yes baby driver was a good movie I enjoyed him in that but TI could have played the role and it would have been the same in my opinion

He's to slow he's not a good fit with Jack I'm actually hoping we trade him
- GERBE!!!75PTS

I doubt we can trade him now
So we should do what we can to get his value up as much as possible

Don’t u think we are gonna finish in the bottom 5 again?

So what does it matter if we play him with Jack to boost his value

Why not keep RORs production and add Mittelstadt's to it?
- jcragcrumple

That's a different question entirely, and they certainly can, and probably will.

The argument that when you trade someone that you just subtract their point totals is what I disagree with. Guys would step into those roles.

(and this isn't me advocating to trade everyone)

Players who play big roles, are who they are.

Ristolainen is who he is, when we are a better team, he's producing the same because his role is going to be diminished. The hope is that his production 5 on 5 goes up.

Same for O'Reilly.

I don't know. Not many people can pull off crazy like Jamie Foxx can.

I'm just saying, if Mitts usurps RORs' role and puts up 60 points, ROR can put up 17 + 25 on the third line, 2PP. Or put ROR at 1LW and he puts up 65p with Eichel. He'd instantly be the best winger Eichel has played with.

Win/win

If they move him to wing that's fine, I want no part of a 7.5 mil 3C.

I think where the "trade O'Reilly" crown lies is the fact that some teams might value him as a lower level 1C, and can get back good assets while getting out from under the contract

I think you guys would better off expecting 35-45 points out of Mitts, and perhaps you’ll pleasantly surprised. But expecting 6million bucks worth of production from a rookie is just the Sabres fans way, I guess.

What's $6m worth of production from Lucic look like?

Sure, I get that. Id rather ride this season out and see what Mitts can do. If he forces ROR to a defensive role at 18 mins per night, that's awesome. ROR will still be on PP1 and mitts will take Okposo's spot.

While playing with McDavid for a majority of the year, and he went 30 games without a goal.

Forgive me for being snarky with this jamoke when he came here all of last year to preach how to Build a Tank Team the Right Way®

Disagree with this, but not going to get into a huge debate about it.

Assets from an O'Reilly trade in 2020>>>> a 29 year old defensive center eating up a ton of cap

Thing is with me, I would view ROR exactly the same whether on the PP1-2 or not at all.

Put skilled player X here ____ on PP1 and they will rack up points

ROR got McGinn paid by making him look good on PP1

I’m expecting 50. Teams will be focusing on Eichel and ROR lines. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a little closer to 55. Barzal managed 85 playing second fiddle to Tavares. I’m not saying Mittelstadt will do that. But he is every bit the prospect that he was coming into this past season.

Sure...
but it doesn’t mean that the player who steps in will produce the same either

For example:
Let’s just say we do trade O’Reilly
If we just spot Mittelstadt into the 2C position,
i wouldn’t expect him to produce the same as if we signed Tavares

I think I read somewhere that Oloffson is supposed to be a PP specialist with skill. Maybe he's that guy but at a fraction of the price?

Right, but we don't know what Mitts is yet.

If Mitts has 50-60 points for 6-7 years, I think we would know that he isn't steering too far off that path.

At least be good at trolling if you’re going to troll. There was a leaf fan that came in here at the beginning of the playoffs running is mouth about how our opinions of Hockey must suck if our team sucks. Told him E. Kane would last longer then his precious leafs in the playoffs. He never came back.
