Avs and Devils have terrible teams, made the playoffs.

Tampa and Jets didn't make the playoffs last year and made it to the semi-finals...

Talbot, L.B., Klefbom, Sekera, Lucic all had career worst years.

Almost historically bad PK, weak PP.

Minimal growth from one of the youngest teams in the league. Only Nurse made real strides.

Despite having McDavid we had one of the fewest amount of power plays in the league.

In todays NHL anything can happen. Parity is unreal. A lot went wrong for us to miss this year. Just a generalization but if you split how good the Oilers were two years ago and one year ago this is at least a playoff bubble team.

Next year will be interesting to see what team shows up. Good, bad, or somewhere in-between.

If we had to settle there are others better in between Futa and Hunter

It is a brief and bland tale.

Parents wouldn’t (couldn’t?) buy me skates growing up, so I never got involved with the sport like the other youths. Only became interested in my early twenties, mostly because that’s all the guys my age were interested in (besides tits and booze). The more I followed the sport, the more I enjoyed it. And now here I am.

Nice try, but I’ve never played the game in any fashion. Only time I’ve ever had a hockey stick in my hands, was when it had been cut into pieces and used for ice fishing.

The Athletic’s Craig Custance has reported Dallas, Detroit and St. Louis have interest in Todd Nelson from AHL Grand Rapids. Nelson has power-play expertise, and all three teams need help. The Stars were 19th, the Red Wings 24th and the Blues 30th this year.
