I will say this about Coffey. Shortly after he was hired Struds said for the first time he saw a guy working with one of the d-men after practice. Matt Benning was getting one on one coaching from Coffey.
Now whether or not it was good coaching is up for debate, but at least it was happening.
I don't think he'll bring a lot, but maybe some of the younger guys are taking to a legend like Coffey. |

From what I gathered it was something similar to what Oates did with Nurse. Granted not to that degree, but I think it was more about where to be in certain situations to gain the most time possible |
