ROR, Jake McCabe, Nylander, Bailey/Baptiste
For
Faulk and Skinner.

Trade happens after July 1 where Buffalo pays all but 1MM of RORs salary for this year. Carolina only owes ROR 1MM for the rest of the year.

Signed sealed and delivered.

Thanks for stopping by all.

Hes got a NMC. Usually those keeps teams from waiving a player I thought.

Or trading him...

Then whats a NTC for?? I thought a NMC was mostly to prevent a player from being sent to the minors.

No trade means you can't trade him, no move means you can't move him.... Pretty self-explanatory but both can be waived, obviously

NMC means just that...no moves at all whether by trade, waiver or anything. NTC is no trade but could still be sent to minors.

Which is included in not getting moved! I meant the clause can be waived by the player, not that he can be put on waivers

I wish they would set this up like baseball does.
you get clauses by time acquired in the league

After 3 years, 5 team no trade list
5 years - 10 team no trade list
8 years - Full NTC.

Just wait for the next CBA...lots of these things will be addressed. The buyout proof contracts and contract length. Players will cry and hold out. But in the end if they’re smart they will just keep letting GM’s find ways to (frank) things up and will still make a killing.

My hope is fully guaranteed contracts goes away, where you can release a player and only his bonus is paid (Counted towards the cap) and the rest of the salary is washed. but I doubt that happens.

What ever happens GMS will still F** it up.

When teams are paying a 7 Mil cap hit for a perennial 20 goal scorer like SJ just did for E Kane...A lockout is absolutely happening.

Another example is Chiarelli signing Lucic to that putrid contract not once but twice!

Thats what happens when you know other teams will be in the market for the players. They will always end up paying more. Which over time will drive the prices up.

Faulk is not what the Oilers need.

- Iggysbff

Yeah trade that 10th to the Capitals for Orpik

Faulk is terrible compared to his perceived value. Any team acquiring him shouldn't expect anything more than the 3rd/soft-minutes 2nd pairing PP specialist that he is. He's a consistent drag on 5-on-5 GF% and this hasn't changed since no longer being the top shutdown pairing on the team (Slavin- Pesce took that over).

The owners/GMs can just collude like they totally didn't do in baseball and just let the free agents sit.

but really GMs and teams just need to grow a pair and stop handing out these ridiculous contracts with FUll NMC and max term.

Kane should have been a 3-4 years deal max.

It’s the agents. They are the ones that threaten, persuade, twist and do anything they can to get the max amount.
