ror, nylander,Baptiste and San Jose's first for Skinner, faulk and Carolinas first this year, possibly even toss you buffalos second round pick if that's what it takes. Treasure trove to Buffalo
- Twisted_schism

lol get the hell out of here.

Not one thing you've offered there is as good as Svechnikov is going to be.

I'm here right now. Skinner would be an amazing add.

I live near Raleigh now. Most of their fans I talk to will not be overly sad to see Skinner traded. 'Lazy' or 'seems disinterested' is a common comment.

I don't think they want to resign Skinner.

It's more about changing the culture in the organization than anything. Guys like Skinner and Faulk have been around for about 7 years now and we have nothing to show for it.

They want to change the way the Canes play, and they want the newer, younger core to dictate that.

Aho, Teravainen, Necas, Svechnikov.... they're all going to be guys who really push the pace and form the new nucleus of this club.

- BINGO!

Congrats on getting Svechnikov, I’ve been following him all year. He is going to be a good one.

Most Canes fans are idiots though.

Those adjectives apply to Faulk last year, not so much Skinner.

The thing is, with Tavares, this team is playing into late May. Look at the Avs roster sans MacKinnon, Landeskog. They were all unproven before the season. Look at the Devils sans Hall. We would have the deepest group of Centres in the Eastern Confernce with Eichel, Tavares, ROR.
- Pegullaville

IF you sign JT, ROR is not on this team.

Congrats on Dahlin!

It's exciting... seems like both teams get exactly what they're going to need with the top 2 picks at least.

Something has to account for the difference between 31 points and 63 points within 3 years. I like his skill though. He would easily be the best winger Eichel has ever had

I would just wait until he hits FA and see what the market says about his value

Good crop of wingers next year.

Asplund, Oglevie, Malone... nice to see Rochester with some decent centers next season. Wonder how the lines will play out.

Doesn’t have to be. Can field a roster like this.

Mitts-Eichel-Bailey
Erod-Tavares-Okposo
Smith-ROR-Reinhart
Baptiste-Asplund-Pominville

If not Mitts assumes the 3rd line C and ROR is traded for Eichels winger.

that's funny...it's exactly what some media types are alluding to with a player like Ristolainen, all he's known is losing so he's a good trade candidate to help change the culture...

Yea I didn’t even bother following him this year cause I didn’t want to get my hopes up. I wanted #2 just as bad as #1. I think Dahlin is the undisputed #1 but I don’t believe the gap between him and Svech is as large as people make it seem.

rask was a disaster last season and have read that there may be interest in them landing a top-six center because of it...and, you're right, makes more sense for them to trade from their defensive strength, unless they don't think they can re-sign skinner
- Michael Pachla

I know he didn't score as much as he had in previous seasons, however he did miss some games as well. Rask was a 0 +/- while Skinner was a -27. I just don't see where all the love for Skinner keeps coming from year after year. He will most likely want $7m+ per season and has similar numbers to Kane (who no one thought was worth $7m.) Add that he has missed time three times due to concussions and his one dimensional game I just don't see where the reasoning comes from.

PS Rask had 54.6% faceoff win last season, so that is something right?

Over payment for kane....but you got your extra 1st.
If im the buffalo GM.....I'd make a bold move for big time goalie.

Im thinking Price.
You have enough pics and prospects to pull it off.

Eichel
Dahlin
Price.
