Signed Stastny

Idk... they gotta do something at Center?
All they have is Schenn
Unless they think Thomas can jump from Juniors to 2C?

I was just gunna say, they're most likely to move those two. Steen has a no trade i think

Cap issues

If they bring back Carlson, they’re gonna have to move salary or lose a guy or 2 they’d rather keep

- jdfitz77

Don't see him being a casualty.

Thanks man. I honestly don't want to do politics here but it really doesn't make any sense what our tax dollars get spent on.

By that logic shouldn't they move Tarasenko/Pietrangelo?

Schwartz is a core player on a team friendly deal in his prime. He's quite literally the last guy they should move unless it's in a deal to get them someone even better.

I would think that trasenko is the face of the franchise.
Least likely to be traded in my opinion

agreed, just pointing out the flawed logic. There are some flaws on that team, Schwartz isn't one of them.

Not entirely sure if he's available but I'd try for Bjugstad.

Scored 18 goals at 5v5 despite an ATOI of 15 min

- Sabresfan-365

Would he be the 2nd line center assuming ROR ia traded, or did he play wing last year?

I don't want to mention him by name , but our 2nd line, 61 point center that we acquired from Colorado:

To

Vancouver.

What's the return?

Even if we're not on Hoffman's 10 team no trade list (and I think it's better than 50% chance that we are), This puts us in a rough spot.

You're adding 4,875 mil of dead cap to a team that has entirely way too much dead cap to begin with.

- Sabresfan-365

At this point, and this is likely way the minority opinion: I'd just ride out the last 2 years of the Bogo contract. If he's healthy, he's on the bottom pair. More likely that he's injured. I just don't want to take on dead cap space for him, or buy him out and stretch out the length of the dead money. When his contract is done, it should be, hopefully, the time the team actually begins to look good to really good.

He played wing last year. Could roll something like

Bjugstad-Eichel-Okposo (maybe could switch sides for the two wingers)

Smith-ROR-Reinhart

EROD-Mittelstadt-Pominville

Wilson-Larsson-Baptiste

Betting big on Smith there but you could move wilson back there and have someone else play LW on line 4.

Juolevi and Sutter for ror and a baptiste like prospect?

I just don't think Bogo is movable coming off of major surgery. I have my doubts that they consider him a guy to just give away as well.

I like Pommer on this team, and I don't particularly like the idea of an Okposo for Eriksson type deal. I'd prefer to hope Kyle just bounces back a bit.

- Lunaion

It might be blasphemous to say considering the hell it's been for the fans for so long, but now is the time for prudence, so outside of trading someone like ROR, Risto, or Reinhart, for a quality player they think is a better fit in return, I'm good with riding out the Moulson and Bogo contracts. No buyouts, no thank you. Take the short term pain for long term gain cap space wise.

His hairline says 35, not 25. Poor guy
- jcragcrumple

I graduated HS with a kid who was both going gray and had a receding hairline with a massive bald spot.

Edit: No, he wasn't a narc, I'd known him since 1st grade.

I believe the better question is where I watched them and if the answer is not "a few rows behind centre ice" im in trouble

Could work, just not sure it's the right move, but Im a mccabe fan so a little biased.
- Sabresfan-365

I would not do that either, because I believe in McCabe and they can get a quality player with the 32nd overall pick.

the other day on xm, they were discussing the blues and said if they want more then a tweak, schwartz would be their best piece to move up front, which was why I brought him up

Okay i get it now. I try not to base anything off their speculation cause it's almost always meant to create a story/drama. Kinda like dropping Ristolainen's name over the last few weeks.

Totally agree. If those two pieces are going out, I'd rather add a bit more and aim for someone of greater impact.
