Self awareness can be a b¡tch.

I dunno, may not be as true anymore but when i was first on here a lot of the regulars had actually met each other on more than one occasion.

Finding defensive C's who even when used in heavy defensive usage can produce is tricky

Better off changing the role of that line altogether and giving it a new look imo

- Sabresfan-365

That's definitely true, but he only scores by accident. Even Kaleta created some chances, either with his above average speed or just because his hands weren't made of granite, merely limestone.

I was never really impressed by him.

Bodger was a solid guy back there and was one of the reasons they were able to move Housley for Hawerchuk.

They were dumb to move Andreychuk for Fuhr but then again they wouldn't have been able to steal Zhitnik from LA.

pretty much

I carried the golf clubs for barrasso a few times back in those days

he was more then a tad full of himself

I think sucking for a few years and then playing well made him more humble and likeable

I would hazard a guess that most regulars here are more or less the same person in real life aside from obvious troll jobs.

yeah nothing really stands out about him offensively in any way. It's unfortunate he and girgs got multi year deals but at this point id ride it out till guys like Malone, Asplund etc are ready.

Edit: I don't necessarily mean don't look for any bottom 6 options but it's not the worst thing in the world if they're both on the roster next year either as 4th liners or press box guys.

Fair
But i don’t take all this crap seriously
If someone comes at me, i fire back
My intention isn’t to be a d!ck
But if someone wants to act that way,
I’m not gonna ask them out to dinner

He’s decent defensively & scores goals at a double digit pace
The Caps might not be interested
I believe someone will be though

- jdfitz77

If he was that good, he'd be a lock as our 4C. He was the worst regular on the worst team in the league. Even a used car salesman struggles to pitch him.

None of this is taken seriously by me at all
It’s just a bunch of hockey nerds (myself included) b!tching to/at each other on the internet

Yeah, I'm pretty indifferent to him for one more year, use him on PK2 and some D-zone draws, but he should never even sniff the O-Zone on purpose.

O'Regan is probably ready now. Or really a guy off the street. There's room for Larsson or Girgensons, but a bottom six can't have both these guys.

I don't think either should be 82 game regulars

Hahaha
Well what’s “nice” though?

I’d be happy with 1 piece who i think will be a part of our top6 future, + whatever else

Might work out big picture, his presence takes a lot of pressure off Mittelstadt, should help with development throughout his rookie year. That sorta set up may cost you next year but expectations aren't exactly sky high.

Girgs needs a change of scenery.

Shame too, really thought he was going to be a solid core guy here for years al la Kevyn Adams type.

I don't want that bet. He's going to be in someone's camp one way or another, with a chance to win a job. The difference is, that he's going to have to earn a spot rather than being a roster lock.

I think he has no trade value. If he's bought out, he gets at least a PTO somewhere.

4th line
Wilson-Larsson/Girgs-Pominville

Wouldn’t “love” it
But i think it would be “ok” until these guys contracts are up
Following year could bring up guys from Rochester to take their places

I'm fine with that, even if we traded him for a late pick and he becomes a solid 3rd/4th liner. It just doesn't look like it's gonna happen here

I'd rather go

Wilson-O'Regan-Baptiste

Pominville as 13th forward.

Larsson and Pominville arent part of the future. Why waste any more time?
