That is hardly shade. After all, the Sharks are a very well-respected organization in the league. Also, don't forget that we've had clowns running our organization for much of his time here.

Yeah, that's not a big deal what he said.

Thorwing shade was getting into trouble multiple times the first year the Sabres gave you a second chance.

I am a Buffalo Bill's season ticket holder, so from a fan prospective, a new stadium would be nice.

I'm sure the pegulas will be chipping in, as I previously mentioned.

Also : why would they pay when other teams get help?

They already funded the harbor center, but yeah, that doesn't count, it was a few years ago?

- Boss34

Im not an ant-Pegula’s raving lunatic...rather, I am against tax payers footing a overly large portion of a private building in which the team utilizing it is making googles and googles of money each and every year, whilst their base investment is sky-rocketing.
Why do they need government help.
Which I love the term government, because it means me, you and family, friends.

Seems the money could be better pissed away some where else, like food stamps, lol!

I would prefer using the money towards education, but it's not like the pegulas are the only owners asking for help.

The stadium does add jobs and spur the economy.
As well as the pegulas pay taxes on their gains. (Well I hope so)

Don't look into "Industrial Development Agency" financing or "Economic Development" subsidies, or "Department of Human Services" incentives.

That seems a lot more fair. Ditching him this offseason seems like a bit reactionary. I can buy into that.

but if the team is stale

and say risto or ror is stinking up the joint

you move them before the season is lost and try to salvage the season

like when they were dumb and traded barrasso to the pens for freaking bodger

or when we trade turgeon for lafontaine

When he scored the games first goal it was already in the bag

Career playoff goals:

Crosby 66
Malkin 62
Ovechkin 59

Career playoff games:
Crosby 160
Malkin 158
Ovechkin 117

But you know Ovi is a choker in the playoffs

they can't finish in the bottom again.. they need to at least be fighting for a playoff spot in march this coming season..

There's a lot space in between those two. A 15 point jump seems like a more reasonable expectation.

Depends on offseason moves

Trade O'Reilly -

Win 0 faceoffs and go 5-70-7

Keep O'Reilly

I'll do you one better
38-34-9 minimum = 85 points

I feel like we are knocking on the playoff door the entire season. Leaning towards 90 + myself

If you want a jump that big, you need strong goaltending. We'll quickly learn how serious they are there, with the Lehner decision and who they decide to bring in. Ullmark + a run of the mill backup would be very unlikely to make that kind of jump.

They could make a nice jump...I want to see the offseason moves before we mke bold predictions.
Generally though, they can't do worse by bringing in the kids to replace the scrubs that have been mentioned here several hundred times.
Having someone from the pipeline successfully filling one of the two open LW spots would be great

So, let me get this straight.
You guys are all good for signing up for increased taxes at the NYS, EC & BFLo levels to fund a new stadium that is used nearly exclusively for a private sector profit scheme...all the while the base investment by the private Franchise is escalating in market value at a very, very quick rate?

Ok then!!

- IonSabres

And we're not nearly big enough to do the hotel tax that San Diego proposed to build their new stadium. That would've been borne by out of towners and hookers and Johns. Except San Diego has a ton of military personnel, so those hotel rooms would've been used by military families visiting, so maybe that's partly why it failed.

Tax payers that live here would bear the brunt of a new, unnecessary stadium.
