I'll be honest, I couldn't decide so I put him in the mental category of untouchable
- jcragcrumple

There's a couple very close groupings, for sure.

You really don't. A hot average goalie is going to beat a good goalie playing normally.

No, it's Antti Niemi vs Michael Leighton in the Stanley Cup Final.

He was always "off", but ranting about the gubment and throwing a dumbbell at a guy while screaming about his playground. Yeah, that's pretty serious.

Solid list

Nelson maybe a bit low
McCabe falling out of favor. Hope he bounces back to old form. Ahead of scandella

Boy oh boy there's an example. How did that happen? That should not occur in any plane of existence.

It's about trade value, so I think Scandella is a rung above Nelson. I think Scandella is worth more than #32, but I debated that for sure. Nelson is worth less than #32, I have no question there.

I agree. Good list. I like where you have ror. His value seams less on the board.

The "you need a good goalie" thing only happens when good goalies are involved and "you don't need a good goalie" thing only happens when good goalies aren't involved. When it was LA and NY it was "you need a good and expensive goalie" when they were both making $7M+. (Yes, I know Quick's hit is $5.8M but he's got a circumventing deal where he makes $49M in the first 7 years, evenly at $7M per and then only $9M total over the last 3 years. $3.5M, $3M, $2.5M)

Can’t imagine ARZ giving up on Domi for a 2nd

Grubauer will cost more than a 3rd, and his salary will be somewhere in the 4.5mil range
-just look at Talbot, Darling, etc for examples on what to base it on

For Carlson to come here, we'd most likely have to outbid others. Could be as much as 8mil per, and almost definitely a 7yr deal

McCabe for Sheary seems reasonable for both teams
I could see something like that happening

HATE the O’Reilly for Skinner trade
Skinner has an NMC clause
Way to risky to give up ROR for him-
injury history, age, contract status

And a big HELL NO on the Pouliot signing
Bailey & Baptiste no longer can go down to Rochester without clearing waivers
Let them battle for the spot
Pouliot has no future here...
one of the kids still might

Hmm...never got the feeling the trade-RoR crew would rate more than 1 slot lower. Always felt like the pro-RoR group would have him as high as #3.

he hasn't played less than 77 games since 2013-14, where he played 71 and he's 26 years old.

I would make the call about Skinner, if anything just to start some dialog.

I’d wait till he’s UFA
Way to many risks to give up O’Reilly for him imo

I guess is the "ror is a fine player" crowd.

I like risto at 3 ror at 4. The contract being part of it.

Wouldn't argue either way.

Seems silly to use one injury history against someone but not use a more extensive injury history against someone else. Just me though.

My thought process is

use ROR + Prospect + another piece to get
Skinner and Faulk.

Highly unlikely but I would try to make the pitch to Carolina. Make the move after July 1, Carolina only owes 1MM to ROR rest of the year.

- ImThatGuy

Skinner too risky
Faulk is overrated

I get the idea you’re going for here
Just don’t like those particular players

Not really, they got him at a good price and he put up 28 goals and 70 points

He had a career year for sure. 2 years left on his deal. I'd go hard after him

Hmm. That would be tough. I would offer Nylander, SJS 2019 first and (#32 or Rodrigues) for him and a 3rd

I like Erod a lot
