It’s amzing how a desperate team down 3-0 to save a season has NO-NONE-ZERO-NADA-ZILCH-A GOOSEGG-shots on goal after half the 3rd period. Unbelievable

Why any team would want any former Rangers for a playoff run I’ll never understand. They have 0 heart, none of them. G tries but he’s just not good anymore. They fold under pressure every time
- Slimtj100

Of all guys, you can't get on Girardi, tj. He has done what he was brought to Tampa to do only, which is playing tough defensively, giving up his body to block shots, and some more. he has even scored a few goals in the postseason.
I would be disappointed in a rangers South member or two like Stralman and Miller in key, and at times McDonagh in not being all that they expected defensively at big moments.

It comes down now to a battle of the two MVP leaders in each conference in OVI and FLEURY for both the Conn Smythe Trophy Winner and the Stanley Cup Winner.

That chance for that 2019 1st Rounder will have to wait for 2019, unfortunately, if wanting indeed for the Lightning to win the Cup next season, unless the Rangers can pull a possible Golden Knights act of their own, if they do so in the Finals.

Saver if you know me you should know I was and always will be Gs biggest supporter. I still have his pic up for crying out loud lol. All I said was he is old and slow. Your right tho, the other guys are not winning players. Especially Mac, he’s a shell of his former self

Barry Trotz just earned some future MILLIONS in most definitely going to receive a new long term offer from the Caps, or another team if he chose not to re-sign as head coach there.
Meanwhile, Todd Reirdon will have to settle to return as Caps assistant coach if he chose that only option likely available for him there now. That's unless Trotz does not choose to re-sign there, or should no other team approach the Caps to allow them to talk with him on a head coaching job elsewhere.

That's why I was especially surprised it was you who made that comment on Girardi, tj, as if you were that other certain one here who hates Shatty. I was only teasing you on the Jimbo relation to your comment, as if I were to end my post with your infamous, "haha" words when you make some "haha" post.

Well they still need to beat Vegas imo to slay whatever demons that org has faced. It’ll just be another lost year for them if they don’t. And amazingly, no one has beaten Vegas yet in any way shape or form.

Vegas in game 7 double OT, Schmidt with the cup winner.

Not sure what I said. I just lumped them all together. G just gets the worst of it, for the broken stick and the Burokowski goal as examples

Haha about you critiquing someone else’s post

With the way Fleury is playing zoned in goal, and the magic that Gallant has led them to produce there all season long, that wouldn't surprise me if it came down in your means.
On the other end, one may consider it in this relation, in that one of two current longtime playing, future Hall of Famers who appeared that they would never be able to win a Cup, may just do so with the way he is leading the Caps this postseason as the Eastern Conference playoffs MVP, in OVI.

The other future Hall of Fame Inductee who still may never win a Cup is sad to say, our own King Henrik.

Hopefully they suck and we get a low 2nd. I would take 50th vs 31st if it meant all those former Rangers not winning the cup.

Again tj, it wasn't like I said it was you being that "Shatty stinks" and "Stepan for Dumba & Coyle" member here.
You replied here correctly as Tony had mentioned earlier on that Burakovsky goal, which occurred after Girardi was hit in the chest first on that shot, and Burakovsky immediately got to the puck before it landed on the ice to get the goal.
But in that same post, you had said that, " G. tries, but he is not good anymore".
That's what surprised me in knowing how much you, (like Jimbo & I), have defended Girardi for the warrior he was for years here as a Ranger.
That compared to the Rangers twitter type, & some here, that Jimbo would always argue with in making their stupid comments on Girardi, just as some who would pin blame on Hank erroneously on some goals that were not his fault, as if in retrospect they expect Hank to score goals as well. ("HaHa"!)
Peace bro.!

You could be correct with the Lightning currently having only about $6.8M cap space (based on the current $75M cap ceiling that's expected to rise to as high as $80M very shortly for next season). They also have 6 free agents on their Pro roster, along with 9 of them on their minor league one. So there will be many changes necessary there just as there will be for us, with their goal still being to win a Cup in 2019, compared to ours to at least get back into the postseason.

Even in the case of J.T. Miller? Only kidding.
You have to feel bad for two of their former Rangers, in Girardi the warrior, and Ryan McDonagh.
What more could you ask for a defensive minded d'man in Girardi the warrior to do here? His game slowed down somewhat after suffering that cracked knee cap injury in blocking a shot in a game at Vancouver a few years ago. He tried playing through it later in the same game, and took another shot to the same leg, if not directly to the same knee once again possibly. He then played in a few games thereafter, until his pain resulted in the tests needed to disclose that injury.
And don't forget when McDonagh settled for that annual multi year $4.7M annual deal with us here, which runs through next season. That was at a time when the Rangers were strapped for cap space, and he could have easily walked away free instead, to receive a much better contract elsewhere. I feel that the burden of being Captain took its toll out on him in part, resulting in the downfall of his game here these past two seasons, and that he really never wanted, nor was best suited to be a Captain, just like Brian Leetch didn't prefer to have that "C" on his jersey in his Rangers days.

Looks good on Tampa for choking at home and being shut out in game 7 on Home ice. Eases a litte pain from the 2015 run

At least for now it's still 7 total picks in this year's first 3 Rounds, and 4 in total in next year's, with that, (in what right this minute, now feels only like a 1% chance), of Tampa's 2nd Rounder in 2019 dealt to us, becoming a 1st Rounder instead if they were to win the Cup then.
It's still a number of picks for Gorton to consider many options with in use of some form to get this team back to the postseason next year.

And in being shut out for Game 6 as well!

In fact, the last goal that Tampa scored in this series against Holtby came on Ryan Callahan's Game Winning Goal in their Game #5 win by a 3-2 score, which came just 33 seconds into that game's 2nd Period.

So Tampa went scoreless for the final 159:27 of the series from Games 5 to 7.

That reminds us of our HOME scoring woes against them in that 2015 EC Finals loss.

In addition, the losing team of every game in this ECF scored 2 goals or less, with Tampa only scoring a total of only 15 goals somehow in the 7 games!

I would bet that Jimbo already told his longtime buddy in tj the same thing, if they were watching the game together. If not, when he first sees it posted here early Thursday morning, he may cause this site to go down, as if he were giving it to those idiot Girardi haters on Rangers twitter during his Rangers days here.
