So here's the million dollar question:
If the market was skewed from the get go, is it even worth it to chase one of these guys this year? - Bean_Dip
Yeah. I'm going to say no. Really the only guy I go after if he hits the market JT. |

If the Rangers are rebuilding, I'm not sure they would pursue those guys anyway. Nash's hit is off the books though, that frees up a few fishnagels.
Also have to see what Quinn is going to do with the lineup. |

I’ve been saying ride out this year without going UFA crazy also. Take a hit for yr and pounce next season and start towards being a contender. With a yr more for the kids, you’ll be able to see what you have and or need. I’m into kovi as a leadership type guy, or Tavares, I can understand why they would, but with him I just don’t see that happening. Anyone else I think would be dumb idea/signing. Also inspect what the RFA trade front would be, ie-Spooner, Hayes, Namestnikov, etc. Maybe they could get a RHDman for a Stinky.
I also remember reading (blog guy here on HB) buffalo would be into a Ristolainen trade, he’s the kind of player they should look to acquire. A young RHD. Hayes for Ristolainen? they need a center according to today’s blog lol |

I would say no, Dallas has such an advantage with that no state income tax
someday they'll come up with an idea how to level the playing field of team's that play in an area with a lower cost of living having the same salary cap as team's in cities with high costs of living
the poop ain't equitable |

If you want an offensive defenseman that can't play defense just remind yourself that you already signed Kevin Shattenkirk |

I dunno, it's possible. I don't think particularly highly of Dallas and their cap situation and their prospects. Maybe he loves it there and doesn't care and wants to ride out his career there, but I see them as just kind of a middling team like the Wild. Probably not ever gonna win a Cup anytime soon, but they don't suck enough to land a franchise player in the draft. |

No. I want the Russian guy that has a passion for the game that doesn't wilt under pressure. Ala JVR and Rick Nash. |
